200: FAQ Explained
===============================================================================
A weapons list FAQ for one of the best horror games made. Listed in this FAQ
are game’s weapons along with tips and explanation on how to best use each one.

As always, any tip or correction is welcomed and you will be credited.

300: Weapons List
===============================================================================
_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 310: Knife ---------------------------------------------------------------'

Picked at the start of the game but cannot be used apart from the neck kill. To
preform a sneak kill; crawl behind the enemy and press the action button as
soon as it appears when you are close enough.

Note: Not all enemies can be sneak killed.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 320: Handgun (Revolver) --------------------------------------------------'

The default handgun picked at chapter II. Usable against all kind of enemies
including most of the bosses. Aim for the head to score a headshot and upgrade
it at least to level 3 in power and ammunition.

You can also aim for the common enemies legs to take them down and finish them
with the matches but make it quick as they tend to get backup and watch for
them trying to hit you while on the ground.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 330: Handgun (Automatic) -------------------------------------------------'

Should unlock when collecting all the archives. Some report that this gun won’t
unlock even when the archives collected.

More stable with increase damage.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 340: Handgun Burst Handgun -----------------------------------------------'

Acquired when all Map Fragments are collected. Uses 3 bursts shots. Good for
stoping enemies but uses allot of ammo as a result.

This gun shares the upgrades with the normal Handgun.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 350: Shotgun -------------------------------------------------------------'

Arguably the best weapon in the game. Balanced with both and accuracy with the
only limitation is the reload speed which can be improved with an upgrade and
the close combat fire rate. Use it on a group of enemies when surrounded and
aim for the legs to bring them down and finish them off with fire.

Try to keep it reloaded when not in fight to avoid wasting time doing so when
needed. Upgrade it for increase power. Can easly take down bosses.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 360: Double-Barreled Shotgun ---------------------------------------------'

My personal favorite. Available only with the Fighting Chance DLC. A double
fire Shotgun. Very useful when trying to down an enemy or a group. The only
downside is that it cannot be upgraded. You can switch back and forth between
this and the normal Shotgun at any time during the game.

Uses the same ammunition as the regular Shotgun.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 370: Sniper Rifle --------------------------------------------------------'

A Sniper Rifle with X2 zoom capability. Great to snipe out enemies far away
although it is also powerful against bosses and close encounters when desperate
for ammunition or out of ammo on other weapons.

Headshot can be tricky to pull but worth the try.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 380: High-Penetration Sniper Rifle ---------------------------------------'

Acquired when all Map Fragments are collected. Penetrates an enemy into the
next. Higher damage than the normal riffle.

This weapon shares the upgrades with the normal Riffle.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 390: Magnum --------------------------------------------------------------'

A powerful Handgun like weapon with balanced aiming and power. Don’t waste it
on normal enemies, instead save it for bosses or tricky situations.

Powerful even on its first stage without upgrades.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 311: Agony Crossbow ------------------------------------------------------'

A serious weapon that uses bolts collected around the environment or crafted by
using parts from disarming traps or simply finding them around.

There total of six bolt types that can be collected:

. Explosive Bolt

The most powerful among them all. Explodes within seconds after it successfully
hit the target. Make sure to aim correctly, otherwise it will miss the target
although it can be collected and used again.

Can blast impact a small group nearby the initial target. Very useful on
bosses. Upgrade for higher impact to atlas stage 3.

Make sure to stay away when exploding as you can easily be killed in the
process.

. Flash Bolt

As the name says; flash and blind the nearby enemies for a short time. The
benefit is that you will be able to sneak kill the effected enemies from any
direction during the time they are stunned.

. Harpoon Bolt

A sharp spear object that will send enemies to the wall and even fire damage
once fully upgraded. Not effective as the Explosive blot but still a cheap
alternative when out of option especially when upgraded.

. Poison bolt (Preorder exclusive)

Damages the enemy overtime slowly taking away its health.

. Freeze Bolt

Freeze the nearby enemies for a short time allowing you smash them to peaces
or simply runaway. A good choice when cornered.

. Incendiary Bolt (Preorder exclusive)

An expensive but effective bolt due to the enemies weakness to fire. Fire at
a group to quickly finish them off.

. Shock Bolt

A low damage bolt that gives you time to act as it slows down the enemies. Not
much use except when you have nothing else.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 321: Machine Gun ---------------------------------------------------------'

Unlocked after completing the game and can only be used in the New Game+. The
weapon uses riffle ammunition and cannot be upgraded. Best used on a large
horde as it deals normal damage so don’t expect it to be a boss killer.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 331: Rocket Launcher -----------------------------------------------------'

Unlocked after completing the game and can only be used in the New Game+. Best
used on a large horde when not near as you can be killed in the explosion. You
cannot move while aiming or firing.

Good on bosses from a distance.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 341: Grenade -------------------------------------------------------------'

Best used on a large group and bosses. Deals allot of damage. Make sure to aim
bellow the enemies feet to make sure it won’t fly by. Stay away as the huge
explosion will kill you as well.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 351: Brass Knuckles ------------------------------------------------------'

Unlocked after beating Nightmare difficulty and can only be used in the
New Game+. Increases the melee damage to the point that most of the enemies
can be taken down with a single punch. Good for speed runs.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 361: Melee Attack --------------------------------------------------------'

Not really a weapon but a good alternative on a single anime when out of ammo.
Make sure to hit once and back out as the anime will hit back once or twice.
Takes some time to kill but something is better than nothing.

_______________________________________________________________________________
'-- 371: Hatchet/Torch -------------------------------------------------------'

Can be picked from dead enemies. Mostly a one hit kill on normal enemies. Great
ammunition saver. Always pick it up when available.
