Dungeon Siege II Chant location Guide

I decided to make this guide after I completed the game with a few missing 
chants and couldnt find any guide to help me.

This is my chant guide, you shouldn't have any problems finding your missing
chant.
If its not clear where a chant is, look in map (tab button) for a blue 
dot, there might be a secret door. Zooming in with the slider on lower right 
of screen can sometimes help location a blue dot.
This guide is explained for someone whois doing the game for the first time, 
so 'before', 'after' , 'left' and 'right' , will only work if you go through 
the way in the direction you went when you first played.

The chants are in your journal under the "Lore" section. 

Fighters are characters who have the highest level class in Melee skill.
Mages are characters who have the highest level class in Nature or Combat 
magic skill.
Rangers are characters who have the highest level class Ranged skill.

Often you can teleport to town with the teleport spell, run over to the 
shrine, do a chant, and teleport back within about 40 seconds (at least for 
Act III).

1. Lesser Chant of Fortification 
   (Dono Armorum Es)
   When you first exit the town of Eirulan , talk to the guy who stands near 
   the incantation shrine.
   Adds +25% Armor to everyone for 180 seconds.

2. Lesser Chant of Dexterity
   (Elevato Agilum Es)
   Behind the first incantation shrine there is a tower (where you learn about 
   sanctuary doors), the chant is located inside it.
   Adds 4.0 + (character_level * 0.95) to everyone's dexterity for 180
   seconds.

3. Lesser Chant of Intelligence
   (Elevato Ingenum Es)
   In some ruins , near north Greilyn forest.
   Adds 2 + (character_level *0.54) to everyone's intelligence for 180 
   seconds.

4. Lesser Chant of Strength
   (Elevato Vigorum Es)
   In some ruins , near the north Greilyn forest.
   Adds 3.0 + (character_level * 0.6) to everyone's strength for 180 seconds. 

5. Mysterious Chant (aka Lesser Chant of Random Item)
   (Rando Conjurum Es)
   In the cave hidden by a waterfall,located after the second morden tower.
   Drops a random level 5ish item of any type.

6. Lesser Chant of Casting
   (Incanta Rapida Es)
   In the ruins near the west Greilyn forst. (near the hak's high priest cave)
   Adds "instant" Mana Regeneration to everyone for 180 seconds. *

7. Lesser Chant of Fighter Health
   (Vigorus Vitalis Es)
   In the west Greilyn forest , in a little post (there are 3 druids there).
   Gives fighters +100% Health Regeneration for 180 seconds.

8. Lesser Chant of Mage Health
   (Ingenus Vitalis Es)
   In the ruins near the west Greilyn forst. (near the hak's high priest cave)
   Gives mages +100% Health Regeneration for 180 seconds.

9. Lesser Chant of Ranger Health
   (Agilus Vitalis Es)
   In the ruins near the west Greilyn forst. (near the hak's high priest cave)
   Gives rangers +100% Health Regeneration for 180 seconds.

10.Lesser Chant of Fighter Power
   (Vigorus Adeptus Es)
   After the first elevator in the elven shrine there is a valve leading to a 
   series of secret doors in the right side of the hall , the chant is located 
   in the last secret room.
   Gives any fighters instant power recharging for 40 seconds.

   in the last secret room.
   Gives any mages instant power recharging for 40 seconds.

12.Lesser Chant of Prosperity
   (Dono Forunam Es)
   In the elven shrine room, look in the corners.
   Adds +50% to Chance to Find Magic Items for 180 seconds.
   Adds +100% to Gold Dropped for 180 seconds.

13.Lesser Chant of Ranger Power
   (Agilus Adeptus Es)
   After the first elevator in the elven shrine there is a valve leading to a 
   series of secret doors in the right side of the hall , the chant is located
   in the last secret room.
   Gives any rangers instant power recharging for 40 seconds.

14.Lesser Chant of Magic Awareness
   (Incantum Percepto Es)
   In a post, right before the upper Kithraya caverns(where you meet vix).
   Adds +40% to Magic Damage Resistance to everyone for 180 seconds


15.Mysterious Chant (aka Explosion)
   (Magrum Erupto)
   You get this chant after finishing the 'Family Heirloom' mission.
   Summons a massive explosion that kills everyone.

16.Mysterious Chant (aka Lesser Chant of Summon Friends)
   (Requo Amicum Es)
   You get this chant after finishing the 'Family Heirloom' mission, if you 
   hand in the sword.
   Summons 5 friendly level 16 Ironhorns to help you for 30 seconds.

17.Lesser Chant of Ranged Awareness
   (Propelum Percepto Es)
   In a post, right before the upper Kithraya caverns(where you meet vix).
   Adds +40% to Ranged Resistance to everyone for 180 seconds

18.Lesser Chant of Melee Awareness
   (Physium Percepto Es)
   in the azunite shrine inner chamber.
   Adds +20% to Melee Resistance to everyone for 180 seconds

19.Lesser Chant of Purity
   (Vexori Impedio Es)
   In a secret chamber (valve is in the right side of the hull), Located in
   the entrance to the Azunite shrine (the entrance is from a cave, in the
   Azunite desert)
   Adds total immunity (despite mouseover description) to everyone for
   360 seconds from: stun, freeze, ignite, immobilize, knockback, silence,
   slow, curses.

20.Mysterious Chant (aka Lesser Chant of Summon Enemies)
   (Requo Malum Es)
   In the Azunite shrine there is a room with 4 treasure boxes and a mimic,
   the chant is within one of the small rooms the monsters came out.
   Summons 5 enemy level 24 Kurgans to attack you (they should dissapear after
   30 seconds if you haven't killed them).

21.Lesser Chant of Melee Skill
   (Vigorus Artifex Es)
   In the west gatehouse of Windstone fortress.
   Adds +1 to all Melee skills of everyone for 180 Seconds

22.Lesser Chant of Ranged Skill
   (Agilus Artifex Es)
   In the Windstone fortress Barracks (Where one of the missing soldiers is)
   Adds +1 to all Ranged skills of everyone for 180 Seconds

23.Lesser Chant of Magic Skill
   (Ingenus Artifex Es)
   In one of the rooms of the East gatehouse of Windstone fortress
   Adds +1 to all Nature/Combat Magic skills of everyone for 180 Seconds

24.Chant of Scholars
   (Dono Experium)
   In the temple of Xeria, after many secret doors (opened by colurful 
   keystones).
   Adds +50% Experiance bonus for 300 seconds, and for 300 seconds 
   Subtracts 0.20 * (50 + (10.6 * character_level)) from everyone's health.

25.Chant of The Dead
   (Vox Mortem)
   You get this chant after completing the potion seller mission in the town
   of Aman'lu.
   This allows you to speak with ghostly spirits for 300 seconds. See

26.Chant of Dexterity
   (Elevato Agilum)
   In a house ,located after the gate to the South Vai'lutra forest (right of 
   the way)
   Adds 5.5 + (character_level * 1.26) to everyone's dexterity for 240
   seconds.

27.Chant of Intelligence
   (Elevato Ingenum)
   In a house ,located after the gate to the South Vai'lutra forest (right of 
   the way)
   Adds 2.6 +(character_level*0.71) to everyone's intelligence for 240
   seconds.

28.Chant of Strength
   (Elevato Vigorum)
   In a different house ,located after the gate to the South Vai'lutra forest 
   (left of the way)
   Adds 4.5 + (character_level * 0.9) to everyone's strength for 240 seconds.

29.Mysterious Chant (aka Chant of Random Item)
   (Random Conjurum)
   After the south Vai'lutra forset teleport(South) in a tree with an elevator 
   inside it.
   Drops a random level 24ish item of any type.

30.Chant of Fighter Health
   (Vigorus Vitalis)
   In the Levereth estate (south Vai'lutra forest)
   Gives fighters +150% Health Regeneration for 240 seconds.

   In the Levereth estate (south Vai'lutra forest)
   Gives mages +150% Health Regeneration for 240 seconds.

32.Chant of Ranger Health
   (Agilus Vitalis)
   In the Levereth estate (south Vai'lutra forest)
   Gives rangers +150% Health Regeneration for 240 seconds.

33.Chant of Casting
   (Incanta Rapida)
   In the first room you enter after leaving the big room in the Vai'kesh 
   sanctuary.
   Adds "instant" Mana Regeneration to everyone for 240 seconds. *

34.Chant of Fighter Power
   (Vigorus Adeptus)
   In a secret room , in the Vai'kesh sanctuary (look for it in the big room)
   Gives any fighters instant power recharging for 60 seconds.

35.Chant of Mage Power
   (Ingenus Adeptus)
   In a secret room , in the Vai'kesh sanctuary (look for it in the big room)
   Gives any mages instant power recharging for 60 seconds.

36.Chant of Prosperity
   (Dono Fortunam)
   Achieved after finishing a mission in ACT III (you need to give the 
   historian in Kalrathia the 3 parts of the dwarven song to get this chant)
   Adds +75% to Chance to Find Magic Items for 240 seconds.
   Adds +150% to Gold Dropped for 240 seconds.

37.Chant of Ranger Power
   (Agilus Adeptus)
   In a ranged sanctuary door , in the Vai'kesh sanctuary (look for it in the 
   big room)
   Gives any rangers instant power recharging for 60 seconds.

38.Chant of Fortification
   (Dono Armorum)
   In a cave , near the vai'kesh forest(south) teleport.
   Adds +40% Armor to everyone for 240 seconds.

39.Chant of Master Self-Awareness
   (Ipsum Percepto Ixo)
   In the nearest cave to the Garden of the Ancients portal (the cave is kinda 
   hidden behind a wall, and its not containing a mask.)
   Adds +95% to Magic Damage Resistance to all mages for 300 seconds
   Adds +95% to Ranged Resistance to all rangers for 300 seconds
   Adds +95% to Melee Resistance to all fighters for 300 seconds

40.Chant of Melee Awareness
   (Physium Percepto)
   In the Garden of the Ancients, up a tower (you can reach that part of the 
   Garden of the Ancients through the Azunite burial grounds (the exit is in
   the west side of it)
   Adds +30% to Melee Resistance to everyone for 240 seconds

41.Chant of Ranged Awareness
   (Propelum Percepto)
   In the Garden of the Ancients, up a tower (you can reach that part of the 
   Garden of the Ancients through the Azunite burial grounds (the exit is in
   the west side of it)
   Adds +60% to Ranged Resistance to everyone for 240 seconds

42.Chaotic Chant of Might
   (Elevato Rando Ixo)
   This one was the hardest for me,i was really lucky to find it at all. It is 
   located in the Azunite burial grounds , directly 'North-North-West' of the 
   Azunite burial grounds teleport (back to geography lessons...), in a
   corner,hidden by some ice. (If you are heading north-west from the
   teleport ... turn right after the ice bridge and you will find it.)
   Will randomly choose ONE of the following (each of a bigger boost than
   even the Greater versions of the chants) and add that one to everyone:
   Adds 7.0 + (character_level * 1.4) to everyone's strength for 240 seconds.
   Adds 8.0 + (character_level * 1.8) to everyone's dexterity for 240 seconds.
   Adds 6 + (character_level * 1.0) to everyone's intelligence for 240
   seconds.

43.Chant of Purity
   (Vexori Impedio)
   In the Letiso hideout (located in the Azunite Catacombs), you need to use 
   the 'Letiso' chant in the entrance.
   Adds total immunity (despite mouseover description) to everyone for
   420 seconds from: stun, freeze, ignite, immobilize, knockback, silence,
   slow, curses.

44.Chant of Magic Awareness
   (Incantum Percepto)
   In a tower , Snowbrook valley.
   Adds +60% to Magic Damage Resistance to everyone for 240 seconds

45.Chant of Ranged Skill
   (Agilus Artifex)
   In a Wrecked house,Snowbrook foothills.
   Adds +2 to all Ranged skills of everyone for 240 Seconds

46.Chant of Magic Skill
   (Ingenus Artifex)
   In the middle of the Snowbrook Grotto, down the stairs (there is only 1 
   staircase in Snowbrook Grotto), the entrances to the Snowbrook Grotto are 
in 
   the Snowbrook foothills.
   Adds +2 to all Nature/Combat Magic skills of everyone for 240 Seconds

47.Chant of Melee Skill
   (Vigorus artifex)
   In the middle of the Snowbrook Grotto, down the stairs (there is only 1 
   staircase in Snowbrook Grotto), the entrances to the Snowbrook Grotto are
   in the Snowbrook foothills.
   Adds +2 to all Melee skills of everyone for 240 Seconds

48.Mysterious Chant (aka Chant of Summon Friends)
   (Requo Amicum)
   In Snowbrook haven servants' quarters, in a room where a ghost was (,one of 
   the rooms right before the little bridge in there).
   Summons 5 friendly level 26 Lertisks to help you for 30 seconds.

49.Mysterious Chant (aka Chant of Summon Enemies)
   (Requo Malum)
   Right after going down the elevator in Snowbrook haven living quarters,
   look inside one of the side rooms.
   Summons 5 enemy level 34 Orthracs to attack you (they should dissapear
   after 30 seconds if you haven't killed them).

50.Greater Chant of Dexterity
   (Elevato Agilum Ix)
   In the snowbrook haven reliquery teleport room.
   Adds 7.0 + (character_level * 1.6) to everyone's dexterity for 300 seconds.

51.Greater Chant of Intelligence
   (Elevato Ingenum Ix)
   In the snowbrook haven reliquery teleport room.
   Adds 4 + (character_level * 0.9) to everyone's intelligence for 300
   seconds.

52.Greater Chant of Strength
   (Elevato Vigorum Ix)
   In the snowbrook haven reliquery teleport room.
   Adds 6.0 + (character_level * 1.2) to everyone's strength for 300 seconds.

53.Chant of Health
   (Multus Vitalis)
   In a magical oasis, south-east from the Northern plain of tears teleport 
   (the entrance is hidden by water)
   Gives everyone +150% Health Regeneration for 240 seconds.

54.Greater Chant Of Prosperity
   (Donot Fortunam Ix)
   Achieved after finishing a mission in ACT III (you need to give the 
   historian in Kalrathia the 4th part of the dwarven song to get this chant)
   Adds +100% to Chance to Find Magic Items for 300 seconds.
   Adds +200% to Gold Dropped for 300 seconds.

55.Mysterious Chant (aka Greater Chant of Random Item)
   (Random Conjurum Ix)
   South-East of the northern plain of tears teleport, in a secret vault (the 
   entrance is through an tower , theres an elevator in it).
   Drops a random level 34ish item of any type.

56.Greater Chant of Purity
   (Vexori Impedio Ix)
   In the northeren plain of tears ,in a secret elevator (located before the 
   northern plain of tears teleport) , the chant is in a secret room.
   Adds total immunity (despite mouseover description) to everyone for
   600 seconds from: stun, freeze, ignite, immobilize, knockback, silence,
   slow, curses.

57.Greater Chant of Mage Health
   (Ingenus Vitalis Ix)
   In a tower , before the eastern plain of tears teleport.
   Gives mages +200% Health Regeneration for 300 seconds.

58.Greater Chant of Ranger Health
   (Agilus Vitalis Ix)
   In a tower , after the eastern plain of tears teleport(Directly east of it)
   Gives rangers +200% Health Regeneration for 300 seconds.

59.Greater Chant of Fighter Health
   (Vigorus Vitalis Ix)
   In a tower , after the eastern plain of tears teleport (you will see it
   after entering the ruins of Okaym)
   Gives fighters +200% Health Regeneration for 300 seconds.

60.Greater Chant of Casting
   (Incanta Rapida Ix)
   This chant is where the lost mage's apprentice is(you will need to take the 
   mission from the potion seller in Kalrathia) , to find the apprentice, turn 
   left BEFORE entering the city of Darthul (the way is behind one of the 
   towers). you will find yourself in a cave, solve the puzzle to open the
   doors, the chant is behind one of them.
   Adds "instant" Mana Regeneration to everyone for 300 seconds. *

   This chant is where the lost mage's apprentice is(you will need to take the 
   mission from the potion seller in Kalrathia) , to find the apprentice, turn 
   left BEFORE entering the city of Darthul (the way is behind one of the 
   towers). you will find yourself in a cave, solve the puzzle to open the
   doors, the chant is behind one of them.
   Gives any fighters instant power recharging for 75 seconds.

62.Greater Chant of Mage Power
   (Ingenus Adeptus Ix)
   In a large abandoned shelter located in the ruins of Okaym (the ruins of 
   Okaym are near the eastern plain of tears).
   Gives any mages instant power recharging for 75 seconds.

63.Greater Chant of Ranger Power
   (Agilus Adeptus Ix)
   In a large abandoned shelter located in the ruins of Okaym (the ruins of 
   Okaym are near the eastern plain of tears).
   Gives any rangers instant power recharging for 75 seconds.

64.Greater Chant of Fortification
   (Dono Armorum Ix)
   In the district of the shield in the morden city of Darthul, theres an 
   elevator, after going down the elevator you will finally reach 3 morden, 
   after solving their mission you will reach a secret vault , the chant is
   side the big structure.
   Adds +50% Armor to everyone for 300 seconds.

65.Greater Chant of Melee Awareness
   (Physium Percepto Ix)
   In some ruins,west of the entrance to the mines of Kaderak.
   Adds +30% to Melee Resistance to everyone for 300 seconds

66.Greater Chant of Ranged Awareness
   (Propelum Percepto Ix)
   In some ruins,west of the entrance to the mines of Kaderak. (yes, it is
   there, both of them)
   Adds +80% to Ranged Resistance to everyone for 300 seconds

67.Greater Chant of Magic Awareness
   (Incantum Percepto Ix)
   In a room ,south-east of the upper mines of Kaderak(east) teleport.
   Adds +80% to Magic Damage Resistance to everyone for 300 seconds

68.Mysterious Chant (aka Greater Chant of Summon Friends)
   (Requo Amicum Ix)
   In the Agallan trial place (the grounds beaneath Kalrathia,ACT III,Chapter
   6), there is a cave , turn right after entering the cave and you will find 
   the chant in the cave exit.
   Summons 5 friendly level 36 Iracas to help you for 30 seconds.

69.Mysterious Chant (aka Greater Chant of Summon Enemies)
   (Requo Malum Ix)
   Behind the mana shrine in the Agallan trial place (the grounds beaneath 
   Kalrathia,ACT III , Chapter 6)
   Summons 5 enemy level 34 Hulking Shails to attack you (they should
   dissapear after 30 seconds if you haven't killed them).

70.Greater Chant of Magic Skill
   (Ingenus Artifex Ix)
   In Zaramoth's horns ,there is a room with platform and 4 elvators on it 
   (right before the lower Zaramoth's horns teleport) ,one of the elevators 
   leads to a Combat/Nature magic sanctuary door,the chant is within it.
   Adds +3 to all Nature/Combat Magic skills of everyone for 300 Seconds

71.Greater Chant of Melee Skill
   (Vigorus Artifex Ix)
   In Zaramoth's horns ,there is a room with platform and 4 elvators on it 
   (right before the lower Zaramoth's horns teleport) ,one of the elevators 
   leads to a room(its the same elveator leading to the Ranged sanctuary door) 
   with an incantaion shrine and a Melee sanctuary door, the chant is behind
   the Melee sanctuary door.
   Adds +3 to all Melee skills of everyone for 300 Seconds

72.Greater Chant of Ranged Skill
   (Agilus Artifex Ix)
   In Zaramoth's horns ,there is a room with platform and 4 elvators on it 
   (right before the lower Zaramoth's horns teleport) ,one of the elevators 
   leads to a Ranged sanctuary door,the chant is within it.
   Adds +3 to all Ranged skills of everyone for 300 Seconds

73.Chant of Power
   (Multus Adeptus)
   In Zaramoth's horns ,there is a room with platform and 4 elvators on it 
   (right before the lower Zaramoth's horns teleport) ,go down the south-west 
   elevator (from the platform) and you will get to a small chamber with a 
   door....enter the door and you will find the chant in the end of the way.
   Gives all classes instant power recharging for 60 seconds.

74.Chant of Chaotic Skill
   (Rando Artifex Ixo)
   In Zaramoth's horns , there is an incantation shrine up a staircase (near a 
   ghostly spirit, after the lower Zaramoth's horns teleport) , there is a 
   secret room near the incantation shrine, the chant is within it.
   Will randomly choose ONE of the following (each of a bigger boost than
   even the Greater versions of the chants) and add that one to everyone:
   Adds +4 to all Melee skills of everyone 300 seconds.
   Adds +4 to all Ranged skiills of everyone 300 seconds.
   Adds +4 to all Nature & Combat Magic skills of everyone 300 seconds.

75.Mysterious Chant
   (Letiso)
   You get this chant when talking to the ghost in the entrance to the Azunite 
   burial grounds.
   Used in "Rehvan's Curse" secondary quest to enter a Lich's lair. See

76.Mysterious Chant
   (Arcesso Arcanum)
   You get this chant when taking the mission from the women , near the north 
   gate of Kalrathia.
   The only effect of this chant is quest related. 





??.Mysterious Chant (does not appear in journal)
   There is a hidden level accessible with some items & this hidden chant.

*Notes: The "instant" mana regeneration of the Casting chants is actually 
+5000% if you want exact numbers.

Tips: The "Chant of Master Self-Awareness" should be GREAT for bosses with its 
high resists, especially mages since they get +95% to magic damage resist. The 
chaotic chants add a larger boost than any of the specific chants for the 
attributes/skills, but they are random. The Chaotic Chant of Might is probably 
the more usefull of the two chaotic chants. Prosperity chants are a nice boost 
to magic find and gold dropped, but even the best prosperity chant isn't as 
good as a single +120% Magic Find legendary enchanted ring/amulet. The various 
Casting chants which give you "instant" mana recharge are very usefull if you 
have a mage heavy party. The Casting chants all differ only in duration. 
Purity chants give total immunity to the listed effects, despite the mouseover 
description of the effect icon after its been cast.
