Hint: Getting bread and ether

When you are in any town, look for a bar. If you have no bread 
talk to the waitress and she will give you some. Talk to the 
bartender if you have no ether and he will give you some. 

Hint: Spells
------------
You can get 60 spells. The spell Extinction kills and enemy 
 one hit. Compression lowers the attack of an enemy. Exit 
lets you exit a dungeon. Return lets you go back to the spot 
where you exited. Try new combinations of spells to kill even 
the hardest enemies in the game.
