HexCheat: --------- Submitted by: Vegeta Email: vegeta_philmc@hotmail.com Ok first go into dos and start a new game of Ultima8 then after the part where devon finds you save it then go out of the game and type "cd gamedat" then type "edit" and then put the following lines into it E12A 0101 W Q Then save the file as avatar.deb make sure its .deb then quit out to the dos promnt and type "debug avatar.dat < avatar.deb" press enter now type "cd.." Now "u8" and load up the saved game u saved earler. Now single click the avatar and u will get a cheat menu. oh and also if u press ctrl+f1 its will give you yet anyother cheat menu. HeX-Cheat: ---------- Use a hex editor to edit the file AVATAR.DAT. (in the GAMEDAT directory) Change offset 2A to 01, and 2B to 01. Then reload the game and click on yourself. Press F7 for the same cheat menu, CTRL+F1 for a list of other things, and CTRL+F4 for immortality. If you want to see the ending, make a file called I81B4U83.ICU with anything in it and put it in the STATIC directory. Now there should be an option of seeing the endgame sequence in the avatars' diary, as well as a quotes section. Use a hexadecimal editor to edit the "avatar.dat" file in the "gamedat" directory. Locate offset 42 and 43 ($2A and $2B). Change the value of those locations from $00 $00 to $01 $01. Save the file and load the game. Press F7 or CTRL+1 to display the cheat mode menus. Click the left mouse button once on the Avatar to display the cheat menu in a more basic format.
