Introduction EWR is what I would describe as the "Championship Manager of wrestling". It is a wrestling based simulation game. This game sees you take a Vince McMahon like role where you are put in charge of your own wrestling federation. You are in control of all the backstage happenings of the wrestling world, you decide who feuds with who; you book the events, sign sponsorship deals, hire talent. You get to build your own wrestling empire! =========================================================================== 2. Version History v1.1 - 8th September 2002 - added the 'Other workers' section. Added a few "Quick Tips" to certain sections. Added alternate endings to some angles. Made a few corrections. v1.0x - 7th September 2002 - added a couple of extra sites that have my permission to use this FAQ. Made a few minor adjustments. v1.0 - 5th September 2002 - Initial Release =========================================================================== 3. Getting started To get started, first click on 'New Game' (bet ya didn't know that), from there you are taken to a fed selection screen, where you can choose from 19 different promotions [if you aren't using any updates]. If you are new to this game, I recommend you start off as WWE on the easy setting, as they have the most money, staff, the biggest roster and are basically the best promotion, so it's almost impossible to lose using them. =========================================================================== 4. Playing The Game - The Main Screen This is where it all begins. This screen shows you all the things which you can control in the fed. In this section I'll show what all the different options mean and what you can do in them. Next Day - This will advance you to the next day of your illustrious career When you advance to a day when you have an event/TV show planned you will be taken to the booking screen, which is where you plan what happens at that event. =========================================================================== 4.1 News - This is where you receive all the news about your shows, your roster ratings, news on other feds etc. depending on what you've selected in the options menu. =========================================================================== 4.2 Name Bar - This is the thin grey button located under the current date in your game. Clicking on this will bring up your employment history and your personal shortlist. =========================================================================== 4.2.1 Personal Shortlist - This is a list of all the wrestlers you have added to your shortlist, ones you are interested in signing, or whatever you choose to use it for. =========================================================================== 4.3 Notepad - This is your space for writing down any details and info you want to put in there. You could use it for planning what you want to happen in your feuds in the future, even for planning your own roster split. =========================================================================== 4.4 Fed button - This button is located under the "NEWS" button. If you have chosen to control the WWE, it will say WWE. If you've chosen CZW, it will say CZW. When you click on this, I will bring up a whole list of info about the fed you are controlling. ------------->Owner - This is who owns the company, your employer. This person may change as you progress through the game, but it won't really affect the game ------------->Money - This is your current bank balance. The most money you can have is $100,000,000. -------------->Size - This is how well your fed is doing. There are several different sizes of fed, which are: Backyard (smallest) Small Regional Cult National Global (largest) Each size will bring you extra options when it comes to booking events - extra matches, pyros for entrances, getting bands to play at PPV's etc. The bigger your fed becomes, the more fans you'll attract and the more money you'll make. -----> Public Image - This is how well known you are to the public. Each size listed above can be bought up to the next level [except global] by reaching 100% public image. e.g. If you are using a Backyard fed, to bring it up to a Small fed you must reach 100% public image as a backyard fed. Alternatively if you public image drops to 0% you will be take down a level and will automatically put to 90% in that group. Advertising, merchandising and great events are a few ways of increasing your public image. -------->Risk Level - This option decides how "extreme" your fed is going to be. Having the risk level low will make your fed more family orientated, and will leave you with more family friendly options. Having the level high will make your fed more risqué, and will give you more matches aimed towards the adult viewers e.g. Barbed wire matches, Inferno matches, "Buck Naked" matches etc. Having your risk level too high, will leave you with less available sponsors to make deals with because they wont see you as something that would be good for their image. ->Production Values - ----->Merchandising - This lets you decide you much you want to spend on merchandise per month. The better you want your merchandise to be, the more it will cost: None----->Cost:$0 Poor----->Cost:$100,000 Average-->Cost:$500,000 Good----->Cost:$1,000,000 Superb--->Cost:$2,000,000 Remember these are how much you would have to pay PER MONTH, not per year, so I wouldn't suggest choosing 'Superb' if you are starting out as a backyard fed, because you will be losing a lot of money every month -------->Advertising - This how much you want to spend on advertising your fed. The better the advertising, the more you pay. None----->Cost:$0 Poor----->Cost:$100,000 Average-->Cost:$500,000 Good----->Cost:$1,000,000 Superb--->Cost:$2,000,000 Advertising is a good way to increase your public image quickly, but like merchandising, it is not essential if you are a backyard or small fed, because you will most probably be making a big monthly loss. =========================================================================== 4.4.1 YOUR TRAINING CAMP The training camp is where you sign young talent to be trained until they are good enough to be promoted to the actual roster. The camp will improve the Brawl, Speed, Technical, Sells & Stiffness attributes. If you don't currently have a training camp, it will cost $100,000 to open one. Once you have one, and have named it, these options will be available. At the start of every month you will get a message in the NEWS section, telling you how much all of the workers at the camp have improved in all the aforementioned attributes. --------->Currently - This is just the name of your training camp, which you can change at any time you like. -------->Facilities - This is how good your training camp is, the better it is the quicker your workers in training should be able to develop [depending on who your trainer is]. ------>Head Trainer - This is the main staff member that runs the training camp and trains your young protégés. The better your trainer is the more your trainees will develop. ----------->Improve - If you feel you have enough money, you can improve the facilities of your camp. You start off with poor facilities when you first open a training camp. These are the costs for improving it: Average->Cost:$1,000,000 Good---->Cost:$2,000,000 Superb-->Cost:$5,000,000 ------------>Rename - Self-explanatory. ---->Change Trainer - This is where you select from all your staff that are eligible to be trainers, who you want to be your head trainer at the camp. ------------>Roster - This is the list of all the workers that you have signed to the training camp. ------------->Close - If you feel, you no longer have the need for a camp, you can close it and if you want you can sell off the facilities. Be warned though, if you close the training camp all the trainees will be released as free agents, so graduate them from the camp before closing it [see roster section for info on graduating trainees]. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Quick Tip on workers in Training. A worker can be graduated from the training camp at anytime, but I'd say to not do that until the Head Trainer tells you that the wrestler is ready to graduate from the camp. This way the worker can perform on your main roster at their full potential. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= =========================================================================== 4.4.2 YOUR DEVELOPMENT TERRITORY Development is where you can sign workers and send workers from your main roster to develop their Over & Charisma attributes. Opening a new development territory will cost you $500,000. Once you have opened it and named it, these options will be available. At the beginning of every month you will get a message from Development, telling you how much each of the workers in development have improved in the Over & Charisma stats. ------------->Close - To close your territory if you no longer want it, as with you training camp, if you close it before recalling the workers in development; they will be released as free agents. [see roster section for how to recall and send workers to development] ----->Change Booker - You booker is an important factor of improving your workers stats. This is where you select the Head Booker of your development territory, from the list of your staff who have the "Booker" option selected as YES. ------------>Roster - The list of all the people that are currently in development. COMMISSIONER CONTROLS Commissioners are not really an important person and won't effect how well your fed does, but having a commissioner does unlock a few angles that wouldn't be available if you didn't have one, but they are not essential. ------------>Change - This where you choose who you would like your commissioner to be. Only Non-Wrestlers and Managers can be the commissioner. MISCELLANEOUS CONTROLS ---------->Sponsors - This where you choose the companies that you want to sponsor your fed. You can only sign a deal with sponsors that are interested on signing a deal with you, so you might as well click on the "Only show interested sponsors" box. The higher your Risk Level is the harder it will be to find a sponsor that will make a deal with you. Once you have found a sponsor that is interested, you have 2 options: Offer Main Sponsorship Offer Minor Sponsorship Offering the sponsor a main sponsorship will usually sign them to a longer contract than a minor one. You can only have 1 man sponsorship obviously, and a maximum of 3 minor sponsorships. When you only have minor sponsorships you can choose to promote one of them to a main sponsorship if you want a longer contract with them. You can also choose to end a deal you have with a sponsor, this could end up costing you a lot of money though as, however many months are left on the contact, you will have to pay that many times however much they are paying you per show. e.g. If you have a deal with World Domination Inc for $1,000,000 per show and there are 10 months left on the contract and you choose to end the deal, you will have to pay the sponsor $10,000,000 in legal fees. ------->View Roster - This is where you can see all the workers on your main roster [excluding managers]. All of the workers are put in different categories: Main Event Upper Midcarders Midcarders Lower Midcarders Openers Jobbers Women Lightweights The roster is also divided into Faces, Heels & Tweeners, which is useful for seeing which workers should feud with who, so you don't accidentally start a feud with 2 faces or 2 heels. ------->Quick Stats - This gives you a quick overview of some of the stats of the workers on your main roster. This is useful when booking matches, because you don't want to put 2 wrestlers that are best at Brawling into a ladder match, because basically...it'll suck. ---------->Managers - This gives you the list of workers that are currently employed as managers, and also shows you who they manage, in the 'Clients' section. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Quick Tip on workers in Development. A worker can be recalled from development at anytime, but I advise that you don't recall them until the Head Booker tells you that the wrestler can't improve anymore. This way the worker can perform on your main roster at their full potential. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= =========================================================================== 4.5 Roster - This screen shows all the workers on your main roster, including managers and non-wrestlers. For every worker you click on there is a list of information and number of options at the bottom of the screen. ---------->Name Bar - The name of the worker you've selected. Click on the 'Change' button to change the workers name to whatever you want. ------->Details Bar - Shows the workers sex, age and weight class. ---------->Contract - Shows the type of contract the worker has [verbal or written], how long is left on their contract and how much you pay them a month. ---------->Position - This is how high up the card the worker is. Main Event being the highest up the card a worker can be and Jobber being the lowest a worker can be on the card e.g. The Rock is a Main Event worker in real life and the Brooklyn Brawler is a Jobber in real life. ------------>Status - Status shows if the wrestlers are available to use in events or not. If they are, the status bar will say 'Available', if they're not it may say something like 'Suspended for 3 months' or 'Ripped Bicep, out for 6 months', and they will be unavailable for use. If a worker is suspended however, you can use the 'remove suspension' button at the bottom of the screen, to make them available again if you really want to use that particular worker at an upcoming event. ------->Disposition - This tells you whether the worker is a 'Heel' or a 'Face'. ------------->Brawl - This shows the workers Brawling ability. e.g.'s of Brawlers are workers like Steve Austin or Rhyno. Brawlers are best at things like Hardcore or Falls Count Anywhere matches. ------------->Speed - This shows the workers ability to pull off speedy Manoeuvres. e.g.s of Speedy workers are workers like Rey Mysterio or Juventud Guerrera. Speedy workers are best at things like Ladder and TLC matches. --------->Technical - This shows a workers technical ability. e.g.s of technical wrestlers are workers like Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. Technical wrestlers are best at things like Submission and Iron Man matches. -------------->Over - This shows how popular or 'over' with the fans the worker is. The higher this is, the more popular the worker is. Interviews, angles and winning matches will all help to get a worker over, but using angles the wrong way could harm a workers overness. ---------->Charisma - This tells you how good the worker is with a mic in their hand. e.g.s of workers with good charisma are workers like The Rock and Chris Jericho. Workers with good charisma can get over quite easily, providing you use them correctly e.g. Interviews. ------------->Sells - This shows you how well the worker reacts to moves from an opponent. If this attribute is too low, the worker is considered a 'no seller' e.g. The Undertaker. If it's too high the work tends to 'oversell' e.g. Tommy Dreamer. --------->Stiffness - This lets you know how 'stiff' a worker wrestles. If workers work too stiff, they will most probably end up injuring their opponent. e.g.s of workers who work too stiff are workers like Ahmed Johnson. If workers don't wrestle stiff enough, then the match looks very fake and won't give good ratings. -------------->Team - Shows what tag team the worker is currently a part of. -------------->With - You only see this if the worker is part of a tag team this basically just shows who the other member of the team is. ------------>Stable - Shows what stable the worker is a member of. ----------->Manager - Shows you who the workers manager is, you can change the workers manager using the drop down menu of all your workers who are eligible to be managers. ------------>Morale - This tells you how happy the worker currently is. The higher the workers morale, the happier they are. Ways to increase morale are things like, giving the worker a title, moving the worker up the card, having them part of a good feud etc. Ways to lower morale are things like making them job to workers much lower down the card than they are, or moving them down the card. If a worker has low morale, they will not put on good matches. --------->Condition - Condition is how fit the worker currently is. If a worker is in bad condition they will not put on good matches. ------------>Speaks - This shows whether the wrestler speaks or not. DUH! If they don't speak, they won't do good interviews. ----------->Trainer - This shows whether a worker is eligible to be become a Trainer when they retire from wrestling. ---->Superstar Look - This shows whether someone has the look of a superstar. Say if you saw wrestling for the first time, you would probably think that RVD was a big star, because he has the 'Superstar Look'. ------->P. Finisher - This shows you the worker's Primary Finisher, the move which they would most often use to finish a match. This move can be changed anytime you like by clicking on the box containing the name of the move. You don't get a big long list of finishers to choose from, you choose type in a new name and choose what type of move it is from the drop down menu to the side of the box. There are 4 different options: Impact Top Rope Submission Ground Impact moves are moves like a Chokeslam or a Pedigree. Top Rope are things like the 5 Star Frog Splash or the Swanton Bomb. Submission finishers are moves like the Angle Lock or the Crippler Crossface. Ground moves are things like The Worm or The Peoples Elbow. ------->S. Finisher - I can't be bothered to type it out again. SEE ABOVE! =========================================================================== 4.5.1 CHARACTER CONTROLS --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contract Negotiations This is where you can negotiate a new contract with a worker whose contract is soon to expire, or to change the details of a workers current contract, or to terminate a workers contract. The top of the screen shows the worker you're looking at and the details of their current contract. The middle of the screen shows what you are going to offer the worker in their new contract. You can choose from a written contract or a verbal contract. Whats the difference? If a worker has a verbal contract they can be stolen from you by another promotion without the promotion having to pay you anything. Also If you choose to release a worker with a verbal contract you can release them for free without having to pay compensation. Whereas if a worker has a written contract, they are exclusive to you fed until their contract expires. If you terminate a worker with a written contract, you will have to pay them compensation, which will vary in price depending on how high their wage is. The bottom of the screen contains the following options: Make offer, which will offer the current details you have selected, to the worker. Terminate Contract, already explained it. Offer Release, use this option if a wrestler is unhappy and wants to leave and you don't want to terminate their contract and lose money. It will offer them a chance to leave, without you having to pay compensation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Move Up Card Use this option to promote a worker up the card e.g. make an Upper Midcarder a Main Eventer. Obviously you cannot promote a Main Eventer up the card because they are already at the top. Promoting a worker up the card will usually bring up their morale. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Move Down Card Use this option to demote a worker to a lower position on the card. e.g. make an Upper Midcarder a Midcarder. You can't demote a Jobber as they are already at the bottom of the rankings. Moving a worker down the card brings down their morale most of the time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prepare To Turn If you are thinking of turning one of your face workers heel at a future event, you must first choose the 'Prepare to turn' option before the event comes along. This option will not automatically turn a worker, you must figure out the best way to do this at your next show. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Send To Development If you feel a wrestler needs a little improving in the Brawling, Speedy, Technical, Sells or Stiffness areas, you may choose to send them to development to improve on these skills. You must obviously have a development territory open before you can do this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Graduate From Training Camp If you have been told by your head trainer at your training camp, that a worker is ready to graduate from the camp, this is what you select to promote them to your main roster, if you feel they still haven't developed enough; just send them over to your development territory. Simple. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remove Suspension If you have layed down the law on one of your workers and suspended them for some reason, you can remove the suspension if you are thinking of using them for an upcoming show. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shortlist Click this to add a worker to your personal shortlist. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Quick Tip on releasing workers You will probably want to get rid of a lot of your weaker workers on the roster when you start a new game. Sometimes when trying to fire a worker, terminating their contract can be quite expensive if they have a written contract, and they usually wont accept the offer of a release. If you want to release a worker with terrible stats or someone you really want to get rid of, work yourself into a bad finacial position. Yep. Get your money into the minus'. Sign some good workers, fire your staff members with low talent and hire new staff, set up a development territory and a training camp with full facilities. By the time you have done this, you will probably have very little or no money at all. Now, if you offer any worker a release from the company, they will gladly accept due to the bad financial position of the fed! Try to do this on the first day, so other feds don't sign up all the best wrestlers and staff. *WARNING* I advise you only do this if you start off as a Global or National fed like WWE or NWA-TNA. If you try to do this as a backyard up to regional fed, you will more than likely be fired straight away. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= =========================================================================== 4.5.2 Search Criteria The search criteria option is just simply a way of sorting your roster. It's pretty self explanatory once you click on it and plus I'm too lazy to go through all the stuff you can do. =========================================================================== 4.6 Staff - The main staff screen brings up a list of all the staff currently employed by your fed, and a bunch if info on what they do. HERE WE GO AGAIN! ----------->View - There are several different types of staff: Announcers Referees Production Medical Writers Road Agents Trainers The drop down menu next to the word 'view' will sort out the list of staff into which type of staff you want to see. ------->Name Bar - The name of the member of staff you are currently looking at ---->Details Bar - Shows the sex and age of the staff member. ------->Contract - Shows how long is left on the contract and how much you are paying them every month. Staff can only have written contracts. ------->Position - This tells you what job they are employed to do. --------->Talent - Shows you how talented they are at their job. --------->Morale - How happy the staff member is. --------->Booker - This tells you whether or not a member of staff is eligible to be a Booker. If it says yes, then you can select them to be Head Booker at you development territory or use them with the 'Auto Booker' feature when at the booking screen. =========================================================================== 4.6.1 CHARACTER CONTROLS Contract negotiations This is where you can negotiate a new contract with a member of staff who's contract is soon to expire, or to change the details of a staff member's current contract, or to terminate a staff member's contract. The top of the screen shows the member of staff you're looking at and the details of their current contract. The middle of the screen shows what you are going to offer the staff member in their new contract. If you terminate a member of staff with a written contract, you will have to pay them compensation, which will vary in price depending on how high their wage is. The bottom of the screen contains the following options: Make offer, which will offer the current details you have selected, to the staff member. Terminate Contract, already explained it. =========================================================================== 4.7 Feuds Feuds are a very important part of building a successful fed, so try to have as many feuds going at one time as you can, and as soon as you end one feud; make another one straight away. But I'll explain more about feuds in the "Guide to feuds" section further down in this guide. =========================================================================== 4.7.1 How to start a feud To start a feud, simply click on the 'start feud' option. This will take you to a screen with 2 lists. These lists are all the workers on your roster [including managers and non-wrestlers]. Click on one name from each list to choose who you want to feud. It's important not to have faces feuding with faces and heels feuding with heels because these feuds generally dont work, unless you're planning to turn one of them in their first match with each other. To avoid doing this click on the 'view roster' button at the bottom-middle of the screen, this will bring up a list of which workers are heels and which are faces. To start a feud between 2 teams of workers, simply uncheck the 'singles feud' box located at the top-right of your screen. When you do this, you should now have 4 lists instead of 2. Workers in lists 1+2 will feud with the 2 workers you select from lists 3+4. Once again it's important you don't team a face with a heel, because it won't get good ratings, again unless you are planning to turn one of them before they have a actual match Once you've selected who you want to feud click the 'start feud' button at the bottom. =========================================================================== 4.7.2 Feud Overview Once you have started a feud, there is a number next to the red box that says 'heat'. Heat is how much the fans are into the feud, essential how "hot" the feud is. The higher this number is [maximum being 100] the more the fans are liking it. Also there will now be 3 options available from the main feud screen: -------->Ask Sophie - This is where your assistant Sophie gives you advice on how to build up the heat in that particular feud. --->Feud Statistics - This shows you how many individual 'feud heat points' each wrestler has, and listed below are how they got them, which are pretty self-explanatory. ---------->End Feud - This option allows you to end the feud off camera. This is generally not recommended, as it can hurt a workers popularity and bring down their morale. [For more information on how to build individual feud heat points and how to manage successful feuds etc, see the "Guide to feuds" section. =========================================================================== 4.8 Other Promotions COMING SOON =========================================================================== 4.9 Other Workers This is where you do important stuff like signing workers. Here you can all the people in the game not currently employed by anyone. And if you have the patience, you can scout for young talent to put into development or your training camp. =========================================================================== 4.9.1 The Main Screen On the left, is a list of all the workers currently unemployed [provided you haven't enabled stealing (4.9.3)]. On the right-hand side, are all the details of the current worker selected. -------->Name Bar - The name of the worker you've selected. ----->Details Bar - Shows the workers sex, age and weight class. -------->Contract - This will say Unemployed for all workers. If you have stealing enabled, this shows the type of contract the worker has [verbal or written], and what fed that worker currently has a contract with. -------->Position - This is how high up the card the worker is where they are currently working. Main Event being the highest up the card a worker can be and Jobber being the lowest a worker can be on the card e.g. The Rock is a Main Event worker in real life and the Brooklyn Brawler is a Jobber in real life. You do not have to sign a worker this high/low on your card if you don't want, it all depends on who you're trying to sign. ---------->Status - Status shows if the wrestlers are able to use or not. If they are, the status bar will say 'Active', if they're not it may say something like 'Torn Quadricep, out for 16 months', and they will be unavailable for use once you sign them. [I'm not sure if injured workers are included on the list, if someone can clarify if they are or not, please let me know] ----->Disposition - This tells you whether the worker is a 'Heel' or a 'Face'. ----------->Brawl - This shows the workers Brawling ability. e.g.'s of Brawlers are workers like Hardcore Holly or Tazz. Brawlers are best at things like Hardcore or Falls Count Anywhere matches. ----------->Speed - This shows the workers ability to pull off speedy Manoeuvres. e.g.s of Speedy workers are workers like Rey Mysterio or Juventud Guerrera. Speedy workers are best at things like Ladder and TLC matches. ------->Technical - This shows a workers technical ability. e.g.s of technical wrestlers are workers like Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. Technical wrestlers are best at things like Submission and Iron Man matches. ------------>Over - This shows how popular or 'over' with the fans the worker is. If it's too high the work tends to 'oversell' e.g. Tommy Dreamer. ------->Stiffness - This lets you know how 'stiff' a worker wrestles. If workers work too stiff, they will most probably end up injuring their opponent. e.g.s of workers who work too stiff are workers like Ahmed Johnson. If workers don't wrestle stiff enough, then the match looks very fake and won't give good ratings. ------------>Team - Shows what tag team the worker is currently a part of. (If you sign one half of a tag team, the team will be automatically listed as one of your teams at the Tag Team screen, even though you haven't got the other member) ------------>With - You only see this if the worker is part of a tag team this basically just shows who the other member of the team is. --------->Manager - Shows you who the workers manager is. ------->Condition - Condition is how fit the worker currently is. If a worker is in bad condition they will not put on good matches. ---------->Speaks - Shows if the wrestler speaks or not. Either 'YES' or 'NO'. If they don't speak, they won't do good interviews. --------->Trainer - This shows whether a worker is eligible to be become a Trainer when they retire from wrestling. -->Superstar Look - This shows whether someone has the look of a superstar. =========================================================================== 4.9.2 CHARACTER CONTROLS --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contract Negotiations OK, so this is where we finally get to the signing workers bit. When you click on this option, a new box will come up containing the following info: The worker you are negotiating with. Their contract demands. This is the workers preferred contract details. The bottom of the screen shows what you are willing to offer the worker in the contract. You get to alter the following: Ring Name---->This is the name you want the worker to compete under for you Disposition-->Where you get to choose whether the worker joins your fed as a Face or a Heel. Position----->What role you would like the worker to play in the fed. This is where you choose how high/low on the card you want the worker to be - OR - you can choose for them to be a Manager, Non-wrestler, or to sign them to your development territory or training camp. You can change a workers position on the card anytime, but you cant assign a manager or non-wrestler to another position without firing them and re-hiring them; so make sure you choose the right one. Type--------->This is what sort of contract you would like to sign them to. Remember that workers on a verbal contract can be stolen by other feds, and that firing workers on a written contract will cost you money. Length------->This is how long you would like to the worker to be a part of your fed. There are 6 available contract lengths: 6 Months 1 Year 2 Years 3 Years 4 Years 5 Years Try to get the longest contract you can, if the worker is a worthwhile investment. If you're a smaller fed, you may just want to sign a worker for just 6 months or a year, so they can leave for free, and you can sign some more talented workers to compete with the more popular feds. Wage--------->This is how much you are willing to pay the worker monthly. The amount you can offer ranges from $0 to $300,000 and goes up in thousands. =========================================================================== 4.9.3 SEARCH CRITERIA The search criteria option is a way of sorting your all the workers not employed by you. In this search criteria, you will see an option to include people who are working for other promotions. Checking this box will add all workers from other feds to the list along with those who are unemployed. The box enables stealing workers from other promotions, it wont always work though, some workers are loyal and say they don't wish to join you while they're working for another promotion, some workers may think your fed is not big enough for them, and others will gladly jump ship. It will all depend on the size of your fed, how happy they are with their current fed and how much you're willing to pay them. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Quick Tip on Contract Negotiations Never give in to a workers contract demands straight away. Wages can be negotiated to something a lot lower, to save you a lot of money every month One thing I've noticed that I can't seem to negotiate, even if I offer them maximum wage and a main event slot, is signing someone that wants to be a non-wrestler to work for me as a wrestler - Like Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels. I've heard that there is a way to do this, so if anyone can tell me how, it would be very much appreciated, by others as well as myself. And of course I will give full credit to whoever sends in the info. =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= =========================================================================== 4.10 Other Staff COMING SOON - NEXT UPDATE =========================================================================== 4.11 Titles COMING SOON - NEXT UPDATE =========================================================================== 4.12 Events Events are a very important aspect of EWR. These are the things that will generate most of your income, so try to fill up all the available slots. You can only have 1 event a month and you can't have the same name for 2 events. Events happen on the last Sunday of every month. The size of your events, depends on how big your fed is. Here's a list of the available events according to how big your promotion is. Backyard---> Only Small events are available you will get a message from the owner saying 'We need to stick to small shows right now' if you select Large, Medium or PPV. Small------> Only Small and Medium events are available you will get a message from the owner saying 'We can't afford massive shows like this' if you select Large or PPV. Regional---> Only Medium and Large events are available, you will get a message from the owner saying 'We can't afford to do small shows like this' if you select Small, and 'We are not big enough to do a profitable PPV yet' if you choose PPV. Cult-------> Only Large and PPV events are available you will get a message from the owner saying 'We need to be running bigger shows than this' if you select Small or Medium. National---> Only Large and PPV events are available you will get a message from the owner saying 'We need to be running bigger shows than this' if you select Small or Medium. Global-----> Only PPV events are available you will get a message from the owner saying 'We should only be running PPV events' if you select Small, Medium or Large. To create a new event just click the 'Alter Event' button in the month you want the event to be in. Type in a name for your event ~ if you can't think of event names, try using the PPV names from promotions no longer running like ECW or WCW, they can be found easily on search engines if you don't know them ~ choose the size of the event, according to you fed size. If you make a mistake or want to delete an event, or change the name, simply click 'Remove Event'. =========================================================================== 4.13 Television Television shows are also another important thing, and a way of making money. These are like your "mini events" that happen every week once you have a deal with a network. You can have a maximum of 3 shows. =========================================================================== 4.13.1 Getting a TV show First, to get a TV show you must send out a promo tape to the TV networks, which you can only send out one every month. The quality of your promo tapes depend on how good your production team, so hire some good staff if you want to get an offer from a good network. You don't always have to be a large promotion to get an offer from a large network, but I find most of the time only networks with low ratings will offer you a slot if you are a relatively small fed. Another things that affects what network you get offers from is their "morality". This is how family friendly the network is. Your Risk Level must be equal to/under the remaining percentage of the networks morality e.g. to get an offer from the ABC network [morality-75%] your Risk Level must be 25 or less[100%-75%=25] Here's a list of the different networks, their highest possible rating, their morality and what Risk Level you would have to be at to get a deal: [Network] [Highest Rating] [Morality] [Highest Risk Level] ABC 7.30 75% 25 America One 0.40 5% 95 CBS 8.00 65% 35 Comedy Central 0.15 5% 95 Disney Channel 2.10 90% 10 ESPN 1.10 40% 60 ESPN2 0.90 30% 70 Fox 6.95 35% 65 History Channel 0.50 80% 20 Learning Channel 0.20 90% 10 Local Network 1.00 25% 75 MTV 2.84 10% 90 NBC 10.00 70% 30 Nickelodeon 1.25 70% 30 Paramount 3.15 55% 45 Playboy Channel 0.70 0% 100 TBS 4.13 71% 29 TNN 6.15 17% 83 TNT 6.92 63% 37 UPN 5.30 20% 80 USA Network 7.00 29% 71 VH1 0.99 40% 60 Now at first glance you may probably think that NBC would be the best network to sign a deal with, but if you did; you would have to have a Risk Level of 30, meaning you wouldn't get all of the more entertaining matches you would have with a higher level [see more about Risk Level and match availability in section 5.2]. When you get an offer from a network, you will be told in the NEWS section at the main EWR screen. It will tell you you have an offer and to look at the TV section. When in the TV section the 'Send Out Promo Tapes' button will be replaced with a 'View TV Offer' button. When you click on it a box will come up with details of the contract. It will show which network is offering you the deal, the available days your show can be broadcast, how long [in weeks] the contract is for and a box, for you to type what you want the show to be called. Once you have selected the day you want the show to be shown and have chosen a name for the show, click 'Accept', and you now have a TV show. However if you don't like the offer, click 'Reject' and wait for a better deal to come along. *Warning* Once you have signed a deal with a network you cannot terminate the contract and you must wait for it to expire. If you really want to end the contract though, you can do things to annoy the network like constantly cancelling shows or using matches above the risk level the network would like you to use. If the network doesnt like what you're doing, they will terminate the contract after a couple of warnings. =========================================================================== 4.13.2 The TV Main Screen Once you finally have a TV show, there will be a few options for the show. When you click on the name of the show, details of the show will be shown at the bottom-left of the screen. It will show you the shows highest rating since it was first shown, it's lowest rating and the rating it got when it was last shown. The four options available after you click on the show are: Change Announcer This first announcer is the more serious announcer, the play-by-play announcer i.e. Jim Ross. Announcers are an important part of TV shows, they will affect the ratings of your show, so try to sign the best announcers you can find [see the 'Other Staff' section on what staff will sign according to the size of your fed]. Change Colour Commentator This second announcer is the announcer that makes stupid comments and basically adds an entertainment factor to the commentary i.e. Jerry "The King" Lawler [though I personally wouldn't say Lawler's entertaining]. Renegotiate Contract Your TV contract will not automatically be renewed once it ends, use this option to negotiate a new contract with the network. You can't use this option if you have over 6 weeks left on your current contract. Change Show Name If you don't like the name you chose for your show just click this and change it to whatever you like. =========================================================================== 4.14 Stables Stables are a collection of workers that are allies. There can be a maximum of 10 people in 1 stable. Both Managers and Non-wrestlers can be members of a stable =========================================================================== 4.14.1 The Main Stable Screen At the main screen you will see 2 boxes, the box on the left shows you all the stables currently in your fed. The box on the right shows all the members of the selected stable. =========================================================================== 4.14.2 Forming/Disbanding A Stable Under the 'Current Stables' box there are 2 choices - 'Add Stable' and 'Remove Stable' - you should be able to work out what these mean yourselves When you choose to add a stable, you then need to just type in the name of the stable and click 'Done'. Once you've created a stable you can't change the name of it, but you can delete it and type the name again. Under the box with the list of members, you can choose to 'Add New Member' or 'Remove Member'. Once you have added all the initial members, I suggest using the 'Stable Induction' angle at events to add new members as it usually gets good ratings and you can use it to set up feuds. The same goes for removing a member, after you've added all the inital members use the 'Stable Kick-out' angle to fill a slot on your shows and set up possible feuds. =========================================================================== 4.15 Tag Teams Tag teams are a team of 2 workers. Both workers must be wrestlers; you cant have a manager or non-wrestlers as part of a tag team. =========================================================================== 4.15.1 Tag Teams Main Screen This screen shows all the current teams in your fed on the left-hand side. On the right-hand side you'll see the name of the tag team, the 2 members of the team and their double team finishing move, if they have one. =========================================================================== 4.15.2 Adding/Removing a Tag Team. Under the 'Current Tag Teams list' there are the options to 'Add Team' or 'Split Team'. When you click on Add Team, a new box will come up, firstly type in what you want the team to be called then below that, is 2 lists of wrestlers to choose from. Once you have selected the members of the team, you have the choice to give them a double team finishing manoeuvre, which you just type in. When you've finished click Add Team. To remove a team, simply click Split Team to remove the team. *=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=* Quick Tip on feuding tag partners. This site is funny at first but, you'll probably never click on it again after a couple of weeks. EWRevenge.com This site is quite useful, but is hardly ever updated. There are 3 articles on the left hand side of the screen. These articles help tell you who are some of the best workers in the business at the moment. They tell they think is the best wrestler in the world at that time, who's gonna be The 'Next Big' Thing in wrestling and the best wrestler on the independent scene. All of these articles are usually pretty accurate as to who would be a good worker to sign. Wrestlecircle.com This is by far, the most useful site in EWR. This site is all about the Independent wrestling scene. This site is useful whether you're a backyard fed or Global. 90% of the wrestlers mentioned on this site are always decent prospects, they can be great main event starts for a smaller fed, and great young signings to put into development if you're a larger fed. =========================================================================== 4.19 Options COMING SOON =========================================================================== 5. Booking Events As said earlier; events are a very important aspect of EWR. These are the things that will generate most of your income. The booking of the events is the most crucial part though, the better you book it, the more fans will flock to see your promotion. =========================================================================== 5.1 Booking Events - The Booking Screen This is where the booking takes place. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weekly Events The first thing you may notice is that there are 11 available segments to fill. You don't have to use all of them if you don't want to but, you must have at least 4 matches and 8 segments overall. Be warned though, if you chose not to use up all 11 slots, it will affect the overall rating of the show at the end, so I advise you use them all. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monthly Events You will notice at the booking screen that there are only 9 available slots to fill, again you must have a minimum of 4 matches and 8 segments overall. The first segment however, will count as a dark match if you choose to put a match in that slot, and dark matches do not count towards the 4 matches required. At the top of the screen is where you choose your announcers for the event, you will notice a 'use wrestler' box, if you check this you can use any of the workers on your roster that have the 'commentator' attribute checked as a skill. The worker you choose will still be able to appear in your event line-up also. Another thing you'll notice is the 'Special' option above the match list. There are many special features you can choose from ranging from hiring a better ring to holding a fan-festival before the event. What you can select obviously depends on your promotion size. I'll type up a list of all the available special options in a later version as I don't know all of them yet. These options come at a price though, and depending on what you choose; they ain't cheap! These events are supposed to be your big end to a months worth of entertainment, this where the most dramatic things should take place - New workers debuting, the end or beginning of a great feud, amazing 'once in a blue moon' type matches, younger workers making a name for themselves and so on. These are the things the fans look forward to at the end of every month, so make sure you book them well. =========================================================================== 5.2 Booking Events - Available Matches This is a list of all the available matches in the game and what Risk Level you will get them at. [Match Style] [Match] [Risk Level] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 vs 1 Singles 0 Iron Man 11 Submission 21 Hardcore 31 Cage 31 Texas Death 31 I Quit 31 Last Man Standing 36 Falls Count Anywhere 36 Ladder 46 Tables 56 Hell In a Cell 61 First Blood 61 Bra & Panties 66 Inferno 66 High Incident 71 Barbed Wire 81 Death Match 96 Buck Naked 100 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 vs 2 Tag 0 Hardcore 31 Cage 31 Ladders 46 Tables 56 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 vs 1 vs 1 Elimination 0 Triangle 0 Hardcore 31 Cage 31 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 vs 2 vs 2 Elimination 0 Triangle 0 Ladder 56 TLC 66 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1 Elimination 0 4 Corners 0 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2 Elimination 0 TLC 66 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 vs 3 Tag 0 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4 vs 4 Tag 0 Survivor 0 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special Royal Rumble 0 20 Man Battle Royal 0 10 Man Battle Royal 0 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- =========================================================================== 5.3 Booking Events - Interviews Interviews are a great way to get wrestlers and to help build heat in feuds Below is a list of all the available Interview options, these options, in turn have more options. Workers that do the best interviews are the ones with high charisma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Single Worker Interview This is an interview with just one worker (kinda hard to tell by the title wasn't it?). Firstly you select who the interview is going to be conducted with, then you select the target, the person the interview is aimed at. These are the styles of interview you can do: Self Promotion - These can only be selected when you choose 'None' for the target. Self promotion is when a wrestler puts themselves over, saying how good they are or whatever Verbal Attack - You must select a target to choose this. A verbal attack is basically when a worker talks crap about another worker. These will earn feud heat points if you select a rival as the target. [see "guide to feuds" section] Hype Upcoming Match - Select a target that a worker is facing that night or will be in a future show. Hyping a match is simply what it says, hyping up their match to get the fans more excited about it when it does happen. Continue Feud - You have to select the workers rival as the target to use this one. Pretty much the same as Verbal Attack. This option also gives feud heat points. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tag Team This is an interview with 2 workers, they don't necessarily have to be a proper tag team like Billy & Chuck or The Hardy Boyz, they can be any 2 workers. Tag interviews have all the same available styles of interview as the single worker interviews, the only thing different is that you can choose either 1 or 2 targets. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Single Worker with Manager This is an interview with one worker and his/her manager. These are best to use if the worker has low charisma and a manager with higher charisma. They work the same as the single worker interviews and have all the same styles of interview. Self promotion interviews work very well using a manager if the manager has a good amount of charisma. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tag Team with Manager This is an interview with 2 workers and their manager but, the manager you choose must manage BOTH workers that you select. All the same styles are available and once again you have the choice of either 1 or 2 targets. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- =========================================================================== 5.4 Booking Events - Angles & what they do Below is a list of all the available angles in the game. The first line is the name of the angle. The first paragraph of text is my explenation of what the angle is about. The last lot of text, in quotes, is the text you see when you see the event report of your show (These may vary depending on whether the workers you select are Faces or Heels). --------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Little Impression The first worker you select for the angle comes down to the ring with a mic and brings out a midget version of the other wrestler you selected, the midget gets in the ring and does all the catchphrases and mannerisms of the wrestler you selected to be impersonated. "The Rock comes out and heads down to the ring. He has a microphone: 'I'd like to bring out someone we all know very well...Chris Jericho!' The music of Jericho hits, and out comes...a midget Chris Jericho? The midget (Mini- Jericho?) climbs up the ring step and into the ring. He grabs the microphone and proceeds to go through all the catchphrases and mannerisms of the real Chris Jericho! Somewhere backstage, you know that Chris Jericho is going to be going nuts!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- About A Girl The first worker you select is backstage talking to the girl you select, the last worker you chose then comes in and pulls the girl away "Maven is backstage, when Torrie Wilson comes walking past. Billy Kidman also walks in. He sees Torrie Wilson talking to Maven, and walks over and pulls her away! Torrie Wilson doesn't look happy as she gets pulled away. Could Billy Kidman be jealous?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Abuse Of Power A worker is in the ring when the commissioner comes out and lets the worker know who's boss. The worker then attacks the commish. "Big Show has come down to the ring and is talking. Out from the back comes Commissioner Eric Bischoff! He climbs into the ring: 'Understand one thing, this is MY ring! Don't get out of line or Ill see to it that you are out of this promotion!' Big Show turns to play to the crowd...then he turns like lightning and drops the Commissioner with a stiff right hand! Show grabs a length of tape and starts choking out Eric Bischoff until security hit the ring to break it up." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambush [1 attacking 1, no save] Worker gets beaten down backstage by another worker. "The Rock is backstage. Brooklyn Brawler comes out of nowhere with a chair and attacks! Rock didn't see it coming, and a chair to the head puts him down on the concrete floor. Brawler proceeds to drive the chair down into the chest of The Rock! Brooklyn Brawler hits another couple of shots on Rock, then turns and walks off. The Rock has been left down and hurt!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambush [1 attacking 1, gets saved] A worker gets attacked backstage but another worker fights off the attacking worker. "Shannon Moore is backstage. Tajiri comes out of nowhere with a chair and attacks! Shannon didn't see it coming, and a chair to the head puts him down on the concrete floor. Tajiri proceeds to drive the chair down into the chest of Shannon Moore! Hurricane comes running in with another chair to make the save! Shannon has been saved from a major beating thanks to Hurricane." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambush [2 attacking 1, no save] A worker is backstage. Two workers come and attack that person "Kane is backstage. The Island Boyz come out of nowhere and attack! Kane tries to fight back, but gets beaten down! Rosie drives a chair down onto the ankle of Kane! Jamal talks trash to Kane, then they both walk off. Kane has been left down and hurt!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambush [2 attacking 1, gets saved] A worker is backstage and gets jumped by 2 people, another worker comes to fight them off. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arrival A worker arrives at the arena "We cut to the car park, where we see a car drive in and stop near the entrance to the locker room. The Rock climbs out, grabs his bags, then heads into the locker room without a word." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arrested The commissioner comes to the ring and calls a worker out, the commish calls out the cops and tells the worker they will be arrested if the do anything. The worker attacks the commish, the cops take the worker away. "The Commissioner is in the ring. 'I want to see Stone Cold out here, right now!' Out comes Stone Cold, and he slides into the ring. Commissioner McMahon continues : 'I want to let you know face-to-face that Im not going to be standing for your attitude while Im in charge. Boys, come out here.' He turns to the entrance ramp, where several cops are walking down. They surround the ring. McMahon: 'If you step out of line, even once, these fine officers of the law are ready and willing to arrest you and drag you off my show. Is that all clear to you?' Stone Cold looks around, then hits a boot to the gut! Stone Cold Stunner!!! Before he can celebrate though, he is grabbed by the cops, and put in handcuffs. They drag Stone Cold off to the back, leaving the Commissioner in the ring, smiling." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Be Prepared A worker is shown backstage preparing for their match "We go to the locker rooms, where Rob Van Dam is doing press-ups, warming up." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Better Enemies A worker turns on their partner "Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy are standing backstage. M.Hardy: 'They say that change is good...so I guess it's time to drop the deadweight Ive been carrying around'. J.Hardy takes a punch to the gut, and then gets thrown through a plate glass window in the background! Matt Hardy walks off laughing." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blood Gets Spilt A worker is attacked on their way to the ring, and gets busted open. "The Rock comes out to the sound of his music and walks to the ring. Brock Lesnar comes out from the crowd and slides into the ring! Lesnar has grabbed the ring bell. Rock turns...and gets blasted with it! The Rock rolls to the outside. He has been busted open by Brock Lesnar!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Catfight! First woman is in the ring, the second woman comes from the crowd, attacks the first. They roll around for a little before being pulled apart. "Dawn Marie is in the ring, addressing the fans. Stacy Keibler comes out of the crowd and slides into the ring! Attack from behind! Within a few seconds, both women are rolling around clawing and slapping at each other. Security and some road agents come running out and pull the two battling women apart." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge A worker challenges another worker to a match "Chris Jericho comes down to the ring, carrying a microphone. He points toward the entrance: 'Hulk Hogan, get out here'. Hogan comes out, and stands on the stage. Chris Jericho speaks : 'Let's make this short - I want a match'. Hogan looks around at the crowd. 'Haven't you heard that you should be careful what you wish for? You'll get your match - and an ass kicking'. Hogan walks off, leaving Chris Jericho in the ring, playing to the crowd." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conspiracy 2 workers are backstage looking suspicious "We cut backstage...where Kurt Angle and Triple H are standing talking. As soon as they notice the camera though, they quickly go their separate ways. What was that all about?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contract Signing 2 workers come to the ring to sign a contact to face each other, the second worker attacks the first one afterwards. "A table has been set up in the ring, with a chair at each end. Booker T is already in the ring, pacing back and forth. Brock Lesnar walks out as his music hits. He climbs into the ring, and takes a seat, never taking his eyes off Booker. Brock Lesnar takes a pen, then signs the contract. Booker T takes the piece of paper, then puts his signature on it as well. They both stand up at the same time, and Brock Lesnar attacks as soon as Booker T turns his back! Lesnar pulls Booker up onto the table...F5 through the table! Booker T has been left down and out in the ring. Brock Lesnar leaves the ring, the damage done." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debut Alliance A worker debuts their new ally "Brock Lesnar has come out onto the stage, and has a microphone. 'I'd like to bring out my new partner in crime, the man who's going to help me destroy anyone who gets in my way...Scott Steiner!' Out comes Scott Steiner looking smug. Lesnar laughs as they shake hands. Who can stop this new partnership?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debut Attack A debuting worker destroys a worker on their way to the ring. "Hulk Hogan is making his way to the ring. Someone dives over the security barrier and attacks Hogan! It's Scott Steiner, and he is beating the heck out of Hogan! He throws Hogan into the ring, and climbs in as well, then drops Hulk Hogan with a stiff kick. Scott Steiner picks up the stunned Hogan...Belly to Belly! He has made a huge impact on his debut." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debut Callout A debuting worker answers the challenge of a worker in the ring. "Triple H is in the ring. 'I'm making an open challenge to anyone in the back. Come out and take a shot at me.' Some unfamiliar music hits, and out walks Steve Austin! He a newcomer, this is his debut. 'If you're looking for a challenge, Im ready, willing and more than able to take you up on it. You ready?' Triple H: 'This might be your debut, but don't think that's going to mean Im going to go easy on you. You're going to get a major beating. Welcome to MY federation.' They stare each other down, and it looks like we have a match!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debut With Power A new signing walks into the commissioners office "The Commissioner, Eric Bischoff, is sitting in his office backstage. In walks newcomer Bill Goldberg. The Commissioner looks up. 'If it isn't our new signing, Bill Goldberg.' Goldberg nods. 'Let's get one thing straight, Im the power around here, so do as you're told, and we'll get along just fine.' Bill Goldberg smiles, then leans in close. 'Kiss my ass.' He walks off as the Commissioner looks furious." --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diva Fever [no one spoils it] A bikini contest begins in the ring. But the second person doesn't like the idea, refuses to take part and attacks the first woman. "We are about to have a bikini contest, as both Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler have made their way to the ring wearing robes. Stacy Keibler doesn't look happy though...and is saying that she is refusing to take part! Torrie Wilson shrugs, and begins to take off her robe anyway...but gets blindsided with a shoe to the head by Stacy! Guide To Feuds Feuds are probably the most important aspect of EWR, so getting them right is essential. For the moment I will just give a quick overview of how many feud points each angle, interview, match aftermaths etc will give the people involved in the feud. In a later version, I will provide a more in depth review on how to manage your feuds. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Few Tips - Don't have Faces feud with Faces unless you plan to turn one of them in their first match/angle together. - Don't have Heels feud with Heels unless you plan to turn one of them in their first match/angle together. - Don't make the feuding workers face each other too often, the fans will get bored with seeing the same match again and again. Have a mixture of matches, interviews and angles. - Don't make Faces do Heelish things like ambushing the rival all the time, or certain angles like paramedics etc. Interfering in matches is fine though just not too often - Alternatively don't have Heels doing things Faces would do, like shaking hands after a match. More to come soon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Singles Angles that earn feud heat points: [Angle] [Points] About A girl 1 point to the victor Ambush 1 point to the ambusher [saving someone from an ambush will give 1 point to the saver, if they are saving someone from their rival] Blood Gets Spilt 1 point to the attacker Fireball 1 point to the attacker Getting Groinal 1 point to the attacker I'm Not Moving 1 point to the person that comes down Ladder To Success 1 point to the attacker Paramedics 1 point to the attacker --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other things that earn points for singles feud: [Points] Interview - Continue feud 1 point to the worker doing the interview (with or without manager) - Verbal Attack 1 point to the worker doing the interview (with or without manager) Winning a Match 1 point to the victor (only if they pin their feud rivals. All good suggestions are considered for future versions of the game. DO email your criticisms about this FAQ, any little things you think I've missed or spelling mistakes or any details I have got wrong are all appreciated. I wan't to make this the best FAQ for this game [which it already is, since it's the only one I've seen]. DO let me know if this FAQ has helped you understand things better, or tell me if it's too complicated, so I can simplify it a bit more. =========================================================================== 9.
