IMHO chapter 1 was better, but chapter 2 is a good game. The whole game *still* looks promising, just hope chapter 3 & 4 are better. ****************************************************************************** * Updates * ****************************************************************************** v1 - First release of this FAQ. ****************************************************************************** * Walkthrough * ****************************************************************************** This is a simple spoiler free walkthrough, some of the steps described here are optional but fun to try out (they will be marked with a #). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 001. Prologue ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Talk to Morgan Leflay twice and choose whatever option (doesnt matter). - Pickup the hook (left to the Seagull) and then talk to Morgan LeFlay again. - Guybrush should be near the ship's wheel, now use the Hook on the Cable. - Click on the Rope that ties up the Barrel o' Fish. - Keep talking to Morgan until Guybrush gets back to ship's Wheel. - Click on the ship's Wheel (this will cause the Barrel o' Fish to slide to the other side). - Talk to Morgan LeFlay until Guybrush gets near the Seagull. - Click on the Seagull. - Click on the Map and select Jerkbait Islands. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 002. Spinner Cay --------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Walk into town and talk to the merfolk (talk whatever with him). - Walk towards the Royal Chamber. - After the cutscene, walk into the Royal Chamber. - Talk to anyone up in the Royal Chamber and choose 'That raft ride by the docks looks like fun!'. After that say 'Well, I gotta go'. # Ask 'Does someone have a cannon to your head?' # Keep saying no to Elaine until you cant anymore. - Exit the Royal Chamber. - Click on the Statue near the Royal Chamber entrance. - Keep walking right until you enter the cave. - Pickup the Bucket near the Bait & Repair Shop. - Talk to Anemone on the Bait & Repair Shop and say 'I need my mast repaired'. - Talk to Anemone next to the Raft and ask 'Cool raft, can I ride it?'. - Take the Raft to Roe Island. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 003. The Cranky Fish ----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ # Almost everything on this cabin is clickable. - Use the Locket on the Manatee. - Combine the Fish Eye with The Eye of Manatee. - Combine the Fish Eye of Manatee with the Paper. - Take the Raft back to Spinner Cay. - Go to the Library and talk to Tetra. Ask to take the book '101 Fish Jokes'. - Examine the '101 Fish Jokes' book. - Go to the Bait & Repair Shop and use the coupon. - Take the Raft to Spoon Isle. - Walk into the Jungle and take the right path. - Pickup the Bait coupon on the Fishing Well. - With Guybrush standing next to the Fishing Well, combine the Glowy Bait with Hook. - Return to the Jungle Entrance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 004. The Noble Sea Horse ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Talk to the Pirates near the chest. Ask what they are arguing about. Then, try to settle their argument with a staring contest. In the middle of the staring constest say the third option to distract them. # There are several lines Guybrush uses to distract the pirates, all of them are funny. You can keep talking and distracting them as long as you dont complete the next step. - With the pirates distracted, use the Pyrite Parrot on the Empty Treasure Chest. - Take the Raft to Spinner Cay. - Board the Screming Narwal and click on the Map, choose the Brillig Island (it is the small island north to the Rock of Gelato). - Keep walking on the island until Guybrush hears his parrot and dig the treasure. # Try going to the Isle of Ewe. - Take the rowboat and go back to Jerkbait Islands. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 005. The Wise Turtle ----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Take the Raft to Spoon Isle. - Enter the Jungle and walk the following paths: left, up-right, up-right, left. - Pickup the coupon (left to your screen). - Return to the Jungle Entrance and take the Raft to Spinner Cay. - Go to the Bait & Repair Shop and use the Oyster Coupon. - Examine the Oyster. - Take the Raft to Spoon Isle. - Enter the Jungle and walk the following paths: left, up-right, up-right, left. - Talk to LeChuck and ask 'So, how much longer do you think?', and then 'What are you carrying with you?'. # Tell LeChuck to use the Breath Mints with himself. # Tell LeChuck to use the Claw Thingie with himself. - Give the Pearl to LeChuck. - Tell LeChuck to use the Pearl with Claw Thingie. - Tell LeChuck to use the MerFolk Key with Clamshell Lock. - Use your Ancient Tool with the Familiar Clamshell. # Try to take the Golden Turtle Artifact. - Pickup the Prying Tool (right next to the Turtle). - Use the Prying Tool with the Golden Turtle Artifact. - Give the Prying Tool to LeChuck. - Pickup the Prying Tool (again) and the right path (it is the only path). - Return to the Jungle Entrance and take the Raft to Spinner Cay. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 006. The Blockade -------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Go to the Library and click on the Fallen Statue. # Pickup the Hot Coals - Use the Bucket on the Hot Coals. (If you missed the Bucket, it is near the Bait Shop). - Go to the Royal Chamber and pickup the Hot Tub Controls. - Take the Raft to Spoon Isle. - Enter the Jungle and walk the following paths: right, up-left. - Then walk to the left path. - Use the Bucket of Coals on the Vacaylian Barbecue (Vacaylian Ruins). - Use the Hot Tub Controls on the Vacaylian Barbecue. - Click on the Hot Tab Controls. - Use the Pyrite Parrot on the Vacaylian Barbecue. - Walk the following paths: left, up-right, left. - Use the Bowl of Melted Pyrite on the Cliff Edge. - Walk the following paths: up-right, right, left, left, left, left. - Use the Prying Tool with the Pyrite Turtle Artifact. - Return to the Jungle Entrance, enter the Jungle and walk the following paths: right, up-left. - Use the Fake Turtle Artifact on LeChuck. - Return to the Jungle Entrance. - Take the Raft to the south Blockade. - Sail out to the Screaming Narwal. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 007. Saving the Mer-Leader ----------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Click on the Map and choose McGillicutty's Ship. - Talk to McGillicutty until he breaks your main mast. - Click on the Map and choose Brillig Island (the same island were you found the Sea Horse artifact). - Talk to the pirates (Trenchfoot or Hardtack) and tell them the treasure is by the tree. # Tell these pirates to dig other places on the island. - Click on the Palm Tree. - Go back to Jerkbait Island. - Go to the Bait & Repair Shop, and tell Anemone you found a tree to replace your mast. - Board the Screming Narwal, click on the Map and go to McGillicutty's Ship. - Talk to McGillicutty until he shoots your main mast again. - Click on the Map and go to Jerkbait Islands. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --- 008. Summoning the Legendary Sea Creatures ------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ # Ask about the Secret of Monkey Island. # Keeping asking for cookies. - Ask about La Esponja Grande. - Go to the 'No Fishing' sign near the Screaming Narwal, and use the Summoning Ball Artifact on the Ocean. - Just keeping talking to Morgan LeFlay. ****************************************************************************** Congratulations, this completes Chapter 2.
