Sol Survivor Officer Encyclopedia Timothy Goya tuxdev103@gmail.com ========== Avram Beck ========== Beck is a former figher pilot and has stepped into his role as a squadron commander for fleet interceptors. Drafted in to assist on the ground, Avram's focus is on long-range domination of the enemy. Tight clustering of mortar and silo fire is Beck's specialty, and it is important to position these long-range juggernauts so that they are most likely to fire at concentrated points. This often means covering less of the path than would be optimal for other turrets! Clean up survivors of this concentrated fire with drones and railguns Turrets: Napalm Silo Cannon Railgun Anti-Air Flak Drone Mortar Turbulence Support: Missiles Focus Fire Flare Tornado Nuke EMP Disable ================= 'Brimstone' Lewis ================= Cameron Lewis, known as Brimstone to his loyal followers, is stationed in a colony on the flame-covered planet Lassageus. Using his adopted homeworld as a real-life example of hell, Brimstone preaches to his subjects about the dangers of immorality. In combat, Lewis likes to strike fear into the hearts of his enemies to make them repent for their wrongdoings. Control the enemy with support and a well-rounded base of turrets. Build power stations as defenses stabilize to allow brimstone to focus on his true strength; becoming an orbital juggernaut! Combat isn't his forte, but when called upon, he is a renown strategist. Elliot's considerable intellect makes him a formidable Executive Officers for any commander. Technologies that Professor Markham develops in the lab frequently find their way into his arsenal. Harnessing this high tech approach to combat means thinking in layers: one layer of dense area of effect coverage, and another layer of precision-targeted turrets to mop up survivors. Try using shrapnel silos to soften up enemies beore they reach your first line of defense. A man with nearly no ethical foundation, Viktor treats every battle like an experiment, curiously observing the pain he inflicts upon his 'subjects.' Dr. Yurevich's tactics center on leaving a lasting impression on the enemy. Fill the length of the path with radiation and flamethrower turrets and use slow goo turrets to allow the residual damage over time effects to take fulle effect. Viktor's orbital support is primarily damage oriented, to finish of those 'subjects' who survive the experiment. Many of her tactics are direct adaptations of ship-to-ship warfare, and her theories are garnering respect among the upper echelons of command. High tech, preciese weaponry is Freya's specialty. Railguns are capable of smashing through shields, and drones are relentless and cost-effective. As Freya lacks turrets that slow enemies, it is critical to make use of her support to assist her high damage turrets. Though a bit rough around the edges, his wisdom in combat situations is unmatched. The strategies Gus chooses in combat reflect his reliance on older technology. Though his technology may be dated, Gus brings a well balanced strategy to the field. Most of Gus' turrets hit multiple enemies at once. Play to his strengths by making use of the pillbox and shotgun and machine gun turrets to overwhelm the Ascendancy with a hail of lead. His approaches to combat tend to be excessive at best and reckless at worst. Ignacio's approaches to combat are focused on explosives and flames. Make use of the missile turet's concussive stun effect and the slow goo turret's spray to pin down enemies for mortar fire. Spacing out flamethrowers to keep Ascendancy troops burning is critical to using Ignacio's arsenal effectively, but be aware that lames will not penetrate an enemy's shields. Her knowledge of Ascendancy technology and tactics has proven invaluable to the war effort. Though few in the Sol Paragon fully trust Iksta, she has proven herself as a competent ally. Iksta offers the greatest tactical flexibility of any executive officer. She can shift between support-heavy and turret-heavy defensive formations by using the mass scrap support and power station. Iksta is capable of adapting to any situation, but her lack of a single focused strategy can be daunting for new commanders. As an Executive Officer, Mr. LaRoque brings the cold reality of commercial profits to war while looking to end the conflict before it hurts his bottom line. Tactically speaking, Jackson's focus is on rapidly deploying turrets to the field. Use the mass scrap orbital support to generate mass at the expense of energy reserves and regeneration rate. Once turrets are deployed, enhance them with support that improves their output temporarily and take time to mine the enemy's path with mine support. Declared dead on arrival in a military hospital amid fierce fighting on another front, Brentford was revived with a combination of biological and cybernetic technologies. Brentford's tactics are a true representation of modern Sol Paragon warfare. His targeting systems are second to none, and the range booster turret that he helped develop brings tactical diversity to other turrets. Building tight clusters of missile turrets supported by the range booster tower lets Brentford do heavy damage to creeps already caught by slow goo or turbulence.
