(12,5KB) ============================================================================== Introduction [BS.02.01] ============================================================================== Taken from the official site: "You are a cast-away in Rapture, an underwater Utopia torn apart by civil war. Caught between powerful forces, and hunted down by genetically modified 'splicers' and deadly security systems, you have to come to grips with a deadly, mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters. No encounter ever plays out the same, and no two gamers will play the game the same way." ============================================================================== Walkthrough [BS.03.01] ============================================================================== A few words before we start our underwater adventure through Rapture: * Common sense is what'll allow you to survive. Shoot things that attack you. I'm not going to tell you to do this each and every time. * Experiment with the different powers, ammo etc. * Look everywhere. Search corpses, trashbins etc. You'll find a lot of useful items and money. * This guide contains spoilers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BioShock [BS.03.02] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The introduction level of BioShock. You'll start in a plane, nothing wrong there. Until it crashes down into the water, that is. You'll survive and manage to swim back up to the surface. This is where you gain control of our friend. Swim forward, towards the plane. When you get near, more flames will rise and the thing will explode. Note the gigantic tower on the right side. Swim there and climb up the stairs. How about we enter it? As you proceed to go down, the lights will turn themself on. When you see a round device, enter it and pull the lever. This is your mini submarine. A short movie will play and then you're able to enjoy the beauty (and in a second the terror) of Rapture. Look around. It's all you can do for now. Soon enough you'll arrive at a new building. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to Rapture [BS.03.03] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Remember the terror I told you about? This is where it starts and it won't end for a long time. Get used to it. A Splicer will attack a man, and then your lovely submarine. It's one of the losses you'll have to learn to cope with. Grab the radio for the wall, and a man named Atlas will talk to you. He says he can get you out of there. Okay Atlas, be my guide! *** Get to Higher Grounds *** A survivor of the city named Atlas has contacted you over the radio. He has advised you to get to higher ground. It might be wise to listen. Follow the path, and another Splicer will show up. However, he'll get shot by a flying turret. What a nice technology. Jump over the trash and pick up the Wrench. Your first weapon, and very useful for tight situations. With the Wrench, remove the trash in front of you and crouch through the hole. As soon as you got through, a burning couch will come falling down. Avoid it and head up for your first encounter with a Splicer while you are carrying a weapon. Hit him in the head with it and repeat till he dies. Head up the stairs (the set that isn't broken, if you please) and you'll find the Electro Bolt power-up. Take it for a cutscene. You'll insert it, but don't seem to enjoy the feeling of rewritten DNA. You'll fall from the balcony, down on the floor. First two Splicers will show up, but when they hear a loud noise (a Big Daddy) they scoot. The Big Daddy (known as Mr. Bubbles by friends) and a little girl will show up, but won't do a thing to you. When you get up again, use your new power to shoot at the switch. This will open the solid door in front of you. Enter the hall. Fun times. A plane will crash into the glass and water will come poring in. Navigate through the plane and follow the water. The solid door on the left can't be opened, so take the one that's ahead of you. In this room are two Splicers, so kill them both and continue to a larger room. Keep going straight ahead until you find a small elevator on your left side. It will --don't be alarmed-- take you up. Atlas will ask you to check on his family. Sure Atlas, anything for you. *** Go to Neptune's Bounty *** Atlas needs your help to reach his wife and child. His family is in a section of Rapture called 'Neptune's Bounty'. Find your way there! As you arrive at the top, you'll hear a woman talking. Don't stand there, kill her! She'll shoot at you with a gun, so take her down quick and grab a handgun yourself. You can go two ways here. We'll first go down the stairs, since this is just a nice way for you to gain some items. You'll find a Splicer knocking on a door, and a woman shouting back at him. If you killed the Splicer, the female Splicer will open the door to see what happened. Kill kill kill. The problem is mostly that once you got back up, three more Splicers have showed up. Kill them and proceed the only other way into the bathrooms. You'll find a nice ghost vision here. The female bathroom has a whole in the wall that will leads to the Footlight Theater. Go there. You'll not be able to use a weapon for a short time. Look at the cute little girl. Isn't she adorable? Walk to the other side and go down the stairs. You'll be able to look at the cute little girl with the huge needle getting attacked by a Splicer. The Splicer will soon regret this when a Big Daddy comes down to kill him. Afterwards you can use your weapons again. Hit the lock and follow the linear path. You will meet some Splicers, so once again kill them until you end up in a room with two exits (of which one is closed) and toilets. You can go into the toilets, but all you'll find are Splicers. Prepare yourself for a nice showdown. Walk towards Neptune's Bounty, and the alarm will go off. Tons of Splicers will come in, so hit them hard. Once you got rid off them, the exit that was closed before will open. *** Head to Medical! *** Your way to Port Neptune has been blocked by Andrew Ryan. Atlas has told you there is another way to reach port Neptune through the Medical Pavillion. Get there now! Continue until you end up in a room with a few tv-screens. You'll get locked in and you have to watch a little movie. The real problem are the Splicers that start knocking down the glass afterwards. Quickly enter the room that opened and turn the wheel. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Medical Pavillion [BS.03.04] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** Use Emergency Access Route *** There is an Emergecy Access Route near the entrance to the Medical Pavillion. Use this emergency bathysphere to reach Neptune's Bounty. More coming soon. ============================================================================== FAQ [BS.04.01] ============================================================================== Q: What's in the collector's edition of the game?
