When you play a game on roller coaster tycoon, at the beggining it will say
what to do. Say it says get 750 people in your park before the end of October
year 3. When it is almost october year 3 and you have more then 750 people in
your park and you are afraid you might screw up and people will leave making
lower than 750 people. All you have to do is delete the footpath in front of
the entrance and exit. It will stay more than 750 people till the end so you
can get a new park and a trophy.

Remember the guests do run out of money you notice when guests say they can't
afford a certain ride, so make new rides constantly and lower prices on old
rides.

If you see benches broken in half, light poles bent or trash cans smashed all
that is from vandalism so build alot more secruity guards, unless you want to
keep replacing everything, it also keeps your ratings way up.

Money Cheat:

Planning on demolishing a ride that's getting to old and nobody wants to ride it
even for free. Then instead of pushing the trash can just to throw it away, click
on the construction button then click on the bulldozer on the pop up screen.
You don't get all the money back but you do get some. Works especially well with
rollercoasters, bulldozing one track piece at a time because you actually get all
your money back.

Retain Ride Popularity

To retain a scary rides popularity, simply delete a segment of track and replace
it with the same thing. The guests will be fooled into thinking that the amusement
has been improved and will continue flocking to it!
Helping sick guests:

* Place plenty of benches near the roller coaster exit paths. Sick guests will sit
there after the ride, allowing them to eventually feel beter. Also place benches
by snack bars.
* Pick up sick guests and let them sit like that for a while.
Freeing your handymen:

You can mow the grass yourself by using the raise/lower ground tool. Just click on
the place that needs to be mowed.

If you need to get a park rating of 600 in 3years close your park down and build
you park with the money you have, but what ever you do dont open your rides and
park. Make all rides free and park entrance fee 50 and when 2years have gone by
open your park and you should get your rating easy at the end of year 3. Trust

When there is a guest in your park that is the worst possible mood, just make
a path that is not too small, but not too large. If it's too small he'll just
walk right off, and if it's too large then he won't get any happier. After a
couple seconds, he'll be in the middle happiness.

There's no need to do what James says above about hiring Security Guards.
They are very expensive. The only reason peeps vandalize is because they
have walked over puke, trash, or have passed a full trash can more than
2 or 3 times. All you have to do is make sure you have handymen assigned
to different areas of the park, especially following the exits of high
nausea rides or near food stands, if you keep it clean NOBODY will vandalize
your park. No need for security!
Also, if your peeps have to wait in the queue line for 9 or more minutes they
will say, "I've been standing in this line for ages." The satisfaction
percentage of the ride will be low and your park rating will suffer considerably.
There are many ways to resolve this.
1. Shorten the length of the ride if possible, ie. 2 times around on the ferris
wheel instead of 3, etc. etc.
2. Shorten your queue line.
3. Put TV monitors in your queue line. This will cheer them up a bit.
4. Assign an entertainer to the queue line that you're having the trouble with
and this will work even better than the TV monitor.
For best results use both the entertainer and the monitor.

When you are bulding a roller coaster and you dont have much money,
make a two platform stations.Don`t make a huge roller coaster, just

When you build a really intense rollercoster people wil get on then won't
get on that ride. So make the price of the pretty big and let people get on.
(Don't do a test run.) Then when people don't get on because it os too intense
delete one section and put the same thing back.
A Real Cash Cow:

To build up cash quickly with a very low start up cost do the following.
Under Research Priorities deselect everything except Rollercoasters.
Wait until the Steel Rollercoaster has been researched. Then build a
"Shuttle loop". Now go modify it by deleting every piece of track to
just behind the loop, now add a second loop to it and 8 or 9 steep
incline tracks. Switch the powered launch speed to 60mph. The excitement
rating is 5.64 without any ride improvements. For and even better effect
build another one right alongside the first and syncronise them.
An added bonus is that geusts will even go on this ride while it
is raining. Yippee
Hole:

Select land
four squares; and find an empty area you will not use. Lower the land a
significant amount. Then, select one square land. Raise the perimeter a significant
amount. You have just made a hole where you can do many things: Make guests mad (useful
for other glitches), trap guests so that the guest number gives enough to win, or if
you make it larger, you can fit a food stand and toilet there, raise the price, and
make them pay. Also try enabling the "Guest Name" cheats, then trap them in there so
they cannot leave.
Target game:
-----------
To play the target game, first build a huge lake of water. Then, raise the land inside
the lake like a target. Go to "Scenery And Theming" and put banners up on the land parts
in the water. Build a Shuttle Loop and set it to a normal speed, facing the water. Let
guests ride it while you put point numbers on the banners. When the maximum of people
are on the ride, change the speed to a higher setting and make it ramp off. Try to make
the coaster crash on the land areas. To make it more fun, put one patch of path down
by the Shuttle Loop and post you highest score. Note: You must demolish and rebuild
your coaster after launching it.
Build higher roller coasters:
-----------------------------
While building, take your coaster up to its maximum. Then, in front of the end of the
coaster, raise the land to maximum. Next, build the coaster on the raised land to the
max. If making a drop next, you may have to continue to raise your land further until
the coaster touches the fall. This trick is best done in Arid Heights because of no money.
Never ending roller coaster:
----------------------------
Build a Steel-Corkscrew coaster and set it as "Reverse Incline-Powered Launch Mode".
Make sure it goes up the slope as if you were building any roller coaster in this manner).
Then, make the track meet the top of the reverse-incline at the beginning.
Note: You might need a lot of boosters to make it get back to the top. If you built it
so that the train can get back to the station, it will not stop because the option will
only accept the train when it arrives backward.
Shuttle Loop crash:
-------------------
To kill guests, make a Shuttle Loop. It must be closed to do this. Click on it and go
to the wheel things. They are tan and pinkish. It will read 40 mph. If you make it higher
than 42 mph, when it goes up it will crash and fly off the track. As much as eight people
will die. However, this may decrease the population of your park.
Keep guests from exiting:
-------------------------
Use the following trick to keep guests trapped without using space. Pick a guest that
you want trapped in the park. When the window appears for what to do with them, pick them
up. Instead of dropping them, just close the window to have them trapped forever without
ever seeing them. This also stops them from getting happier/unhappy, hungry, thirsty,
needing to use the washroom, or tiring out. This is best used when the person you have
selected is very happy. If you are nervous about a goal requiring a certain number of
people, you can use this to grab as many as needed. Alternately, you can empty a park
while keeping ratings and number of people.
Having troube paying back loans?:
---------------------------------
Before you start a new scenario and you don't want to run into financial trouble down
the road, here's what you should do. Before you start the scenario, don't raise your
loan at all. Work with the loan and money that you have. If you raise it extremely high,
you will have a lot of trouble paying it back later on.
Sonicboom:
----------
Get a steel twister roller coaster. Make a slope then make a launched lift hill. Make it
go as high as it can go, then drop it as far as it can go, and repeat this until you think
it's going to go at least 760mph. Now test it and watch until you hear a booming sound.
Your roller coaster is traveling at the speed of sound!! (hint: DO NOT put guests on
this coaster)!!! Your park will be closed down due to "dangerous construction".

When you first play roller coaster tycoon.when you get steel roller coaster build it
under the land there will be profit in it.
Drowning on Land:
-----------------
Raise one square of land with the shovel. Now choose a guest and put them there. Raise
the water level until they are drowning. When they start drowning lower the water level
as fast as you can. When the water goes below ground the guest will keep drowning in
the square of land.
Wall Thriller:
--------------
A nice addition to a rollercoaster ride is a Wall thriller. If the rollercoaster you're
using has the "corkscrew" option select it (either left or right.) It will automatically
switch to the opposite side (left to right visa versa.) but all you need to do is select
the the same thing(left or right corkscrew.) now you'll have a sort-of U-turn. stick a
wall or something in front of the U-turn and it'll look like the rollercoaster will
slam into the wall.
MAKING MORE MONEY FASTER:
-------------------------
To get more money, have a free entry price, and charge 5.00 for large rollercoasters,
and the lower the intensity of the rollercoaster, go down 50 cents in price. Keep all
thrill rides at 2.00, and all gentle rides at 1.00, and all water rides between 2.50
to 3.50.
Forcing Mechanics to fix a ride:
--------------------------------
when a ride breaks down, a mechanic will go and try to fix it. but sometimes they will
get lost. first pick up the guy and move him in front of the broken rides exit. delete
the path in front of the path you placed him on. eventually he will fix the ride. after
he fixes it, replace the path. this way, you wont ever have to worry about mechanics
fixing a ride.
Raise The Dead:
---------------
When guests get tired of a rollercoaster, simply shut it down and take out a single
track and replace it with the same track, then re-open it, guests will treat it as
if its a new attraction!
Have guests pay all their money:
--------------------------------
Have at least one building or ride in your park, . Look for a person that is walking
towards the front gate to get in. Click on them and see how much money they have. Do not
close that window. Click on the entrance and quickly change the entrance fee to the amount
of money that they have. Also keep this window open. Cover the actual entrance with the
entrance window so you can not see it. Now watch the guest window and when the guest walks
in, he or she will have spent all their money. To make more guests enter, lower the entrance
fee, wait for another person to appear, then repeat the process. You can do this to more one
guest at a time by clicking on more then one person and going to their money screen.
Invincible guest:
-----------------
Build a roller coaster, preferably the Shuttle Loop. Set the launch mode to 60 mph and note
where it crashes. Put a path leading to it. When it starts to get crowded, start the ride
again. The ride will crash in the same location, and the guests will walk right through the
wreckage and flames.
Walking through scenery:
------------------------
Build a tower of land and put a guest on top. Then, build any kind of scenery on top of the
guest. The guest should walk though the scenery if he wants to get on the other side of it.
Note: If you want to put another guest on top, you have to remove the scenery then put him
or her on. You can get the guest off without removing the scenery by clicking the claw.
Click the claw again to put him back. However, if you click the claw, put him down, and then
put him back it will not work.
No handymen for weed removal:

Select the "Construction" button, then click on the desired area. There should be no more
weeds at that location.
Easy Money:
-----------
Set your admission price to $25 to $35. Next, start marketing campaigns that are half off
admission and free ride coupons for at least two weeks.
Handyman mechanic:
------------------
Hire 13 handymen and 13 mechanics. Put all the handymen in one place and put all the
mechanics in the same place except for two or three of them. Soon, you will see a handyman
holding.
Common misconceptions and a few tips of my own:

Often times people start out with very little understanding of the game and do things like
put no exit signs on the entrance square of their park or delete the path square alltogether
because they are having trouble meeting the objective criteria. My goal is to help any of
you in that situation hit the 4200 people-in-game softcap (the reason I say softcap is
because its tied to employee's of the park as well as guests) and keep your weekly profit
positive. One of the largest overlooked fundamental parts of successful park management is
advertising. In order to advertise you want a minimum of 10 attractions and at least one
location which guests may buy food or drinks. Every 6 weeks game time you can re-advertise,
a full 6-week advertisment budget is $4,200.00. The return on investment is incredible if
your park is setup properly.
Geographical placement of things is entirely up to you just keep things condenced and close
to each other, remembering not to create any 4-block or larger path sections - this makes
rct1's AI cry. So placement, pathing, and advertising out of the way leaves the biggest;
income. You make a little bit from shops, stalls, and food/drink but the real money comes
from the park entrance fee - which you should have set to the absolute highest amount that
the poorest guest can afford (it's different level to level). I believe the poorest guest
in Forest Frontiers has a mere $50, so the first thing I do when I start that level is set
the entrance fee to $50. Then build one of each attaction that does not require assembly -
nothing that can be built with a "custom design" - and one of each stall/shop/food/drink
what have you. Followed by advertising - and then rollercoaster constuction. Keep a close
eye on your weekly profits (financial tab) and your sure to succeed. Don't blow money on
things like landscaping or building a cool ultra-extreme failure until you have the budget

Free paths:
-----------
Guests can actually walk across non-built paths. Just keep the path to be built flashing in
the position you want it at, and guests will be able to walk across it like a normal path.
Be warned, that if you move the path while a guest is on it they will fall to the ground.
Wealth From Umbrella Sales:
---------------------------
When it is raining, your customers will happily pay outrageous rates for umbrellas, provided
they have enough money to afford the accessory. Place an information kiosk near the entrance
to your park so that guests will purchase an umbrella as they enter when the rain is pouring.
You can make a huge profit if you price appropriately, since umbrellas are a cheap investment
on your end.
