Keep bargaining the prices with him, even he refuse to decrease the demands. that way, you can force him to decrease the demands into minus (it means he even gives you maney). i can get 50000 gold this way..he..he..he. How to avoid enemy: ------------------- Submitted by: Slim Spidey From the start, pirate always been a big trouble for you. you can avoid them by switching from world map to battle map before they came near you and back again to world map..then. taaadaaaa... they disapear!!repeat it every time you encounter pirates or your foes and you can get a save journey. Ding Dong Ditch: ---------------- Go to a door in any part of the game and press [Action]. Your character will knock on the door, then you can run away. Easy money: ----------- Go to any of the loan sharks and ask for any amount of money. You can go to the box in his office and drop your money in it. Then, go up to him again and ask for more money. Continue to do this until you have the desired amount. Even though he says that he has ways of getting his money back, he never comes after you. Stack captain scores: --------------------- You can add more than one person, other than the Captain, onto your other three ships. All of their scores will stack with that ship's captain's score. There are two different ways to do this. The first method is at the "Open Sea" screen (where you can see all of your ships), get close to another one of your ships and a swap cargo icon will appear. Go into the swap cargo menu. There is an option to switch captains. Under this option, there is a screen that has four slots. One of them is the captain of that ship. Click on one of the other three slots, then assign passengers to each one. When you do this, they dissapear from your passenger list. You will need to get more party members at the tavern if you want to fill up all your ships. Do not sell the ship with the other three crewmembers still on it. You will lose anyone that is still on board. The second method is to capture a ship and do it when you assign a captain to the captured ship. Faster sailing: --------------- Use a text editor to edit the "interface.c" file in the "/pirates of the caribbean/ program/interface/" folder. Find the entry "if (bArcadeMode) return 2.0;" and change that value to a higher number. Press [Keypad Asterisk] during game play to sail at higher speed. You will find the name and all stats there and can change them to your desire. You can even change your name, which will then appear when you talk to others in the game. Make sure you search for all the "character_init" files and change them all the same (I think there are 3). If you then start a new game - you will have the stats you entered! Get New Ships: -------------- Before editing a game file always make a backup copy of that file. Go to the directory of the following file: "character_init" (Mostly it is in the following path: C:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanPROGRAMCharactersEnglish). It must be the one in "English" not in "Characters". Open the file, and go to the following line: "ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_LUGGER_ENGLAND;". Replace "LUGGER_ENGLAND"ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_LUGGER_ENGLAND with the following to get new ships. ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_BLACK_PEARL (the hull cannot be damaged) ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FRIGATE_SAT ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FEARLESS ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_FORT ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_MANOWAR_ENGLAND ch.Ship.Type = SHIP_BATTLESHIP_ENGLAND Level Codes: ------------ Enter any of the following codes to skip to a level with full health: RPZK04HQ56 6L9QFVBH1Z S3YP9P?6QR XBTBYFJXW? P4RMGLXR?R X3PQ730JXY ?Z4YVTXSTZ DNNBSZPW6P Run Away: --------- If you run into a group of baddies you think you cannot beat then run away and go past the last point where the game loads and they won't follow you. View programmers: ----------------- Enter the maze in the last level. Look for markings on the floor while in the maze. You can follow them to reach rooms at the edge of the maze with wall tiles that are missing. However, follow the floor markings that have an eight legged eye and an arrow to find a tile room that has another arrow on the floor pointing at a wall. Walk directly into that wall to pass through it and enter a hidden room with pictures of the programmers. Falchion sword: --------------- In Oxbay Caves, wander around and you will eventually find a sword stuck in a beam. It is the Falchion, the most damaging sword in the game and is available from the start. Change ship stats: ------------------ Use a text editor to edit the "ships_init.c" file in the "/pirates of the caribbean/ program/ships/" folder. Locate the the ship that you desire to change. You can change the stats to whatever desired. You can change the ships movement speed and turning speed; maximum crew; cannon size; canon quantity; and many more settings. Ships cost $100: ---------------- Use a text editor to edit the "Ships_init.c" file in the "/pirates of the caribbean/ program/ships/" folder. Locate the following line under each individual ship type: refShip.Price = 19000; Change the "19000" to "100" and your ship will now cost $100. This can be changed on any ship of your choice. Cheats: ------- Submitted by:-TALHA ISLAM HARRY_INCREDIBLE@YAHOO.COM give player +100,000 gold AXYBYBXBBA god mode (ship and land) AYXXYYBYXA give 50 skill points ABYXYBBYBA Hint: ----- Submitted by: ROBERT Ok first when u start go to oxbay port. Then go to oxbay and find a place called TAVERN then go in it and talk to a guy that wants to be you're officer and then he will give you 50000 grand. there you go. ENJOY THE GAME RICH BITCH :-) Cutlass and Pistol Skills: -------------------------- To unlock all Cutlass and Pistol skills automatically, type "no_honor" (minus the quotes) into the in-game cheats console. Getting hidden pistol: ---------------------- In Isla Muelle, go to the residence. Go out of it. Go to the right and you should see a large building just beside the church. Go to near its center door then go to the right. You should be inside a really big house as big as a mansion. Go up the stairway and just walk straight and you should see a big room with a chair and desk in the end. Go near the desk and you'll soon find a dual barrel pistol! Easy money: ----------- Go into other people's houses and steal their items. They have things such as potions, gems, rings, and other expensive items. You can also look in isolated barrels, pots, and other containers around the cities for more items. If you walk around in towns and into places like the areas behind houses, alleys, corners, and similar places you can find items that seem to have been dropped. Note: If you walk around at night, you can see little specks of light on the ground, and these can be those items. Unlimited money: ---------------- Raise your Commerce to 10 as soon as you can (use all the points you get towards it). Then, go to a tavern and talk to an officer that you can hire and ask him "How much are you asking?". He will respond with a price. Then, say "Isn't that a little too much for you?". He will reply "I guess you are right" and then offers less. Say "Nah, still too much" ( or something to that effect) and the dialog box will close. However, the next time you talk to him, the price will be the last price he offered. Repeat this until he responds with a negative number (i.e. he will pay you for you to hire him). Play different characters: -------------------------- I figured how to shift between different characters. Although I had no characters_init.c file in the folder, I noticed that two "characters_init" files exist and that the one in the English folder works. If others have the same problem, you should need to look up: C:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksPirates of the CaribbeanProgramCharactersEnglish and pick the "characters_init" file there. Then do as said, scroll down until you'll find ch.model = "blaze". Exchange the blaze with one of the following between the quote marks. "black_corsair" "bocman1" "bocman3" "bocman4" "brodyaga" "capitan" "capitan1" "chameleon" "chelovek" "chelovek1" "corsair1" "corsair1_1" "corsair1_2" "corsair2" "corsair3" "danielle" "blaze" "fawn" "killer" "korsar" "korsar1" "lucas" "maltese" "man1" "man1_1" "man1_2" "man2" "man3" "man3_1" "man6" "man6_1" "offic_fra" "old_man1" "old_man2" "researcher" "sailor1" "sailor2" "sailor3" "sailor4" "sailor5" "sailor6" "animists2" "storeman" "storeman2" "will_2" "huber_eng" "blackman" I found these extras just down the script but if you are not in need to go there, usually you don't. Sheathe your sword inside buildings: ------------------------------------ At the game's unedited files, you aren't able to use weapons inside Stores, Taverns, Halls, etc. (it says "Hmmm...that's not a good idea.) -=HOW TO EDIT=- Go to "Pirates of the CaribbeanPROGRAMLoc_ai". Find the text file "LAi_location.c". Immediately you should find this text: location.noFight = "1"; Just delete the "no" and you can now attack anything inside Taverns, Stores, Prisons, Loanshark's Office, Shipyards, etc. Hiring officers: ---------------- When hiring an officer, you may haggle over the gold. To do this you must go to the officer, then talk to him repeatedly about his worth and he will drop the price. Keep haggling him if you do not have any gold. You can haggle with him until he lowers the price to a negative amount. Float at poker: --------------- Submitted by: Matthew Play poker in any place on padres, then right in the middle (dealer) of a shuffle leave the table. and in a few seconds you'll be floating and look like your playing poker, but siting on nothing. note: the fastest way is to press escape and by doing that, the note won't appear (are you sure you want to leave the table? your cards will be automatically folded.) Easy experience: ---------------- Go to Port Royal. Go to Fort Charles then go to the hanging station. Attack the level 14 to 18 grunt and we will not retaliate, as long as you are on the platform. If you step off the platform, he will start to attack and get veterans to help. Go to a house or building where there are guards. After killing the person, stand in a corner off to the side and wait for them to respawn. When they respawn and if they do not attack immediately, you can remain still, heal yourself, and voodoo. Teleportation Glitch: --------------------- Submitted by: Jimmy Ok this is a teleportation glitch. First you need to put on auto-run. Then, go from any beach right into the water. Hit tab,go to a friend or island, then hit teleport. Boom you're there, no loading, just there. Hope this speeds up teleporting for you! Edit Officers: -------------- Submitted by: Nelson You can change the skills and abilities of your officer by editing the file Officers in the "init" folder. It's in Program/characters/init. Since there are only five definite officers you can hire (Rys Bloom, Leborio Drago, Lucas de Salahdana, Edgar Attwood and Artois Voysey), you should edit them. Changing their skills are easy so i will not need to tell you how to do it. If you want to add ability and change the HP they have, just look at my example: makeref(ch,Characters[n]); //Rys Bloom ch.name = "Rys"; ch.lastname = "Bloom"; ch.id = "Rys Bloom"; ch.model = "Chameleon"; ch.sex = "man"; ch.loyality = 55; ch.alignment = "good"; ch.sound_type = "seaman"; GiveItem2Character(ch, "blade17"); ch.equip.blade = "blade17"; ch.location = "Redmond_port"; ch.location.group = "goto"; ch.location.locator = "cityzen_1"; ch.Dialog.Filename = "Rys Bloom_dialog.c"; ch.greeting = "Gr_Rys Bloom"; ch.rank = 1; ch.reputation = "45"; TakeNItems(ch,"potion1", Rand(4)+1); ch.experience = CalculateExperienceFromRank(1)+ (CalculateExperienceFromRank(1)/10 + rand(500)); ch.skill.Leadership = "10"; ch.skill.Fencing = "10"; ch.skill.Sailing = "10"; ch.skill.Accuracy = "10"; ch.skill.Cannons = "10"; ch.skill.Grappling = "10"; ch.skill.Repair = "10"; ch.skill.Defence = "10"; ch.skill.Commerce = "10"; ch.skill.Sneak = "10"; ch.money = "0"; ch.perks.list.LongRangeShoot = true; ch.perks.list.FastReload = true; ch.perks.list.HullDamageUp = true; ch.perks.list.BasicBattleState = true; ch.perks.list.FastReload = true; ch.perks.list.HullDamageUp = true; ch.perks.list.BasicBattleState = true; ch.perks.list.BasicDefense = true; ch.perks.list.AdvancedDefense = true; ch.perks.list.SwordplayProfessional = true; ch.perks.list.CriticalHit = true; ch.perks.list.Gunman = true; ch.perks.list.LightRepair = true; ch.perks.list.CrewDamageUp = true; ch.perks.list.IronWill = true; ch.perks.list.ShipSpeedUp = true ch.perks.list.SwordplayProfessional = true; ch.perks.list.CrewDamageUp = true; ch.perks.list.LightRepair = true; ch.quest.help = "0"; ch.quest.dialog = "0"; LAi_SetCitizenType(ch); LAi_SetHP(ch, 800.0, 800.0); LAi_group_MoveCharacter(ch, "ENGLAND_CITIZENS"); n = n + 1; If you want to add more ability, just add the command line ch.perks.list.LightRepair (change it into something else, best to write down the list of ability from the game, remember to have Capital and no space between the words) = true; You can change their weapon too. GiveItem2Character(ch, "blade17"); ch.equip.blade = "blade17"; Change the "blade17" into "balde20" for both command lines. they have from blade1 to blade22. There is a strange blade23, i haven't test it so i don't know whether it will crash or not. Remember to back up your files. Dozens of Millions of Gold Glitch: ---------------------------------- Upon arrival at Oxbay, head to the tavern. Talk the to guys that sit on the right as you walk in and play them at dice. Win enough until they stop playing. When they won't play, talk to the innkeeper and stay the night (no need to pay to stay in the room, it has no effect). After staying the night, exit and then re-enter the inn. See if you can play dice with the man/men on the right again. Stay the night. Exit and re-enter the tavern. Rinse and repeat the steps (it is a little time consuming but shouldn't take more than 40 minutes) until eventually they offer to play for a different prize. Follow him upstairs and you will play dice for a woman, and win. Say you will have your men take her to the ship - dont let her go free. Exit the room and a man will approach you. Say you are planning to get rid of her. He will offer you 5,000 gold. Say that is too low, and then accept his higher offer of 5,500. Check your gold and you should have millions, the highest I have personally had is around 85,000,000 (85m)!
