Panzer Campaigns - Smolensk '41 Hints: ------ The whole is greater than the sum of its parts such is the theory of combined-arms warfare. To succeed in Smolensk you must combine the power of your units. For example, use your artillery and air units to weaken the opposition before you attack. Use terrain wisely: don't leave your units in the open. Whenever possible, position your infantry and anti-tank units in woods and cities. Tanks are powerful, but not in the streets. Tanks work best in open terrain. If tanks assault, they must have infantry support to succeed. The user manual explains exactly how much infantry they need. Knowledge is power: use the Recon units well. Knowing where the enemy is helps immeasurably.
