Unlockables - Difficulties/Gametypes:

These will be available to you once you meet the requirements. Old School has you completing
the game without 'Last Stand', painkillers will heal you less, but you receive more bullet
time for wounding/killing enemies. Hardcore is similar to the Hard difficulty, but painkillers
are less frequently found, and enemy AI is ruthless, and you take more damage easily. New York
Minute Hardcore has you completing the game with a set time of 60 minutes in one sitting.
Killing enemies will earn you extra time. If you die at any time during the game, you restart
at the very beginning of the game.
Unlockable How to Unlock

New York Minute Hardcore - Complete all chapters of the New York Minute arcade mode.
Old School difficulty - Complete the game on Hard difficulty.

Since leaving the NYPD and New York itself behind, Max has drifted from bad to worse.
Double-crossed and a long way from home, Max is now trapped in a city full of violence
and bloodshed, using his weapons and instincts in a desperate search for the truth and
a way out.
"We're starting a new chapter of Max's life with this game," Rockstar's Sam Houser said.
"This is Max as we've never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and
cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of
Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation."
Virtually no details have been released about the game, but it will have
players take on the role of a retired Max in a much more violent and darker
version of New York City. The first image of the game (below) is a piece of
concept art that shows off a grizzled Max splattered with blood.
