Be especially careful when you choose a scout. A poor 
scout may show an excellent player as bad, and you might 
pass up some great talent; or worse, you'll pay a lot for 
a mediocre player who hurts your team more than he helps.

When working on your game plan, play to your quarterback's 
strengths. If he's a poor long-distance thrower, lower the 
percentage of long-distance passing plays.
                                        
Don't go back on your word. When you've agreed on a contract 
price, don't renege; it will come back to haunt you later.
