Easy Chocobo races
------------------
Hold [Page Down] + [Target] while racing a Chocobo to slowly restore energy.

Unlimited items
---------------
This trick requires the W-Item materia. The materia is obtained after your party
parachutes back into Midgar in Disc 3. After entering the subway tunnels in Sector
8, your party may walk away from the screen and encounter the Turks, or walk toward
the screen to reach another subway section. Select the second choice and follow the
subway tunnel until it ends at a dead end with the W-Item materia.

Equip the materia on the character with the item to be duplicated. When a battle
begins, select the W-Item entry on the battle menu and pick the item to be duplicated.
Answer "OK" to confirm the selection and choose the person to receive the item. When
selecting the second item, choose the item to be duplicated. Answer "OK" to confirm
the selection, but cancel before choosing a person to receive the item. The amount
of that item should have increased by one. This may be repeated to increase the
total number of that item to 99.

Cast magic three times at an opponent
-------------------------------------
Have all characters have Reflect status. Cast any attack spell on all three of your
characters. The spell will bounce three times into the enemy, each with the attack
power of a full spell.

Extra money
-----------
Sell a Master level All materia to get 1.4 million Gil. Since another All materia
will appear when the original reaches master level, there will be no loss in
usefulness.

Nibelheim safe combination
--------------------------
The combination to the safe in the old mansion in Nibelheim that contains the key to
enter the basement (and get Vincent) is Right 36, Left 10, Right 59, Right 97.
Note: Push the button used to talk to people to select each number. After opening
the safe and fighting the monster inside, a key to the other part of the mansion
and Odin summon materia will be found.

Materia to beat Weapons
-----------------------
Use the following steps to make the battle with the Emerald and Ruby Weapons easier.
Note: This must be done after Meteor is summoned and the Highwind is in your
possession.

1. Before fighting either Weapons, find and equip the Morph Matera before returning
to the Undersea Reactor in Junon. Go through the sight-seeing tunnel (where the
ocean can be viewed) and enter battles until the Ghost Ship appears. Use Morph
when the enemy is low on HP to change them into an item called "Guide Book".
2. Leave Junon and return to Kalm. Go to the last house on the right, next to the
bar. Go upstairs, where an old man will be encountered. He will explain how he
wants to understand the afterlife, and ask you to find three items: Guide Book,
Earth Harp, and Desert Rose. He will notice that you already have Guide Book and
   give you the Underwater Materia.
3. Equip the Underwater Materia. It does not gain AP and will not duplicate. This
Materia removes the time limit when Emerald Weapon is encountered.
4. Defeat Emerald Weapon (a few mastered Mime and Knights of the Round will be
helpful) to receive Earth Harp. Take it back to Kalm and give it to the old man
to receive Master Summon (Red), Master Magic (Green), and Master Command (Yellow)
Materia. These Materia can not level up or duplicate, but have all the abilities
of their single counterparts. Master Summon grants all Summons for as long as MP
are available. A similar effect is also used by Master Magic. Master Command is
a little difficult to work with, but is still worth it.
5. Equip the new Materia and ram into Ruby, who is minding its own business in Gold
Saucer. With luck, the single character Ruby allows to stay and fight will be
ready to deal with this massacre.
6. Defeat Ruby and take Desert Rose to the man in Kalm to receive a Gold Chocobo.
You probably will already have one, as Knights Of The Round is required for the
Weapons battles. A good combo to use against the Weapons is HP Absorb + Knights
(mega damage and mega boost in HP).

Easier Ruby Weapon battle
-------------------------
Kill two members of your party before fighting Ruby Weapon. Have the Summon Phoenix
materia equipped on the remaining character, then run into Ruby Weapon. When fighting,
Ruby will only attack the live character, and therefore not use the Quicksand attack.
Wait until the Weapon sticks his claws in the ground. Then, use Summon Phoenix to
attack it and revive the dead party members. All three party members are now available
for the battle.

How to win at Chocobo racing
-------------------------------------------------
During a race hold down [Page Down] + [Target] to restore energy (takes a while).
After your party parachutes back into Midgar, you can get the W-Item materia. Enter
the subway tunnels in Sector 8. You can encounter the Turks, away from the screen,
or go to another subway section towards the screen. Go towards the screen and the
new subway tunnel. Follow the subway tunnel until it ends at a dead end; here you
will find the W-Item materia. Now, equip the materia on a character who has an item
you want duplicated. When a battle begins, select the W-Item entry on the battle
menu and pick the item to be duplicated. Answer "OK" to confirm your choice and
choose who will get the new item. When selecting the second item, choose the item
to be duplicated. Answer "OK" to confirm the selection, but cancel before choosing
a person to receive the item. You can do this repeatedly, to increase the number
of an item up to 99.

10 Phoenix Downs and a Secret Cave
------------------------------------------------------------
On the way to Coral, go to the switch that you push to let the others go through.
If you explore around that area, you should hear birds chirping. Go up the hill
where you hear it (you might have to search to find the right spot) and pick the
first choice you are given.

After collecting the 10 Phoenix Downs, go back down to the lower tracks and follow
your partners. As they turn to the right, you need to take the left split because
buried in the hill under the tracks is a cave with an out-of-work miner. A Power
Source, Mind Source, and Tent may be acquired within this hidden area.

Note: Your score will be lowered if you do this. It's not nice to disturb baby
birds.

Ancient Forest
-----------------------
To get to the Ancient Forest before disc 3, simply ride up the hill with a black,
gold or green chocobo.

Beat the Cosmo Canyon Boss
-----------------------------------------------
When you get to the Boss inside the caves at Cosmo Canyon to beat him all you
do is use a Phoenix Down on him to kill him instantly.Sometimes that misses so
you might want to use other healing items like X-Potion, High Potion or Potion.

Beat the Emerald Weapon
-------------------------------------------
If your having difficulty beating Emerald Weapon and you can't get the Knights
of the Round consider using this method.First equip three gravity materia, one
to each character, second if possible equip a mime materia to each character.

Next to one character, equip both the W-Magic materia and quadra magic materia
joined to the characters gravity materia. Join an all materia to the other
characters materia. Okay. Now when you go into battle all you do is use any
level of demi on the Emerald weapon and it automatically does 9999 HP of damage
to with every hit but at the end his HP will lower and a couple of hits with a
moderately powerful summon spell and he's done for. Voila!

Beat the Ruby Weapon
--------------------------------------
For this you will need Nights Of The Round with at least 3 levels. Phoenix summon
with at least 3 levels. Shield with at least 2 levels. Final Attack with any level.
About 3 mastered HP and MP pluses (you might need more). 3 Enemy Skills with White
Wind learned (to learn White Wind, go to the grassy area of Junon untill you fight
a big green creature with wings. Manipulate it and have it use White Wind on your
party).

You also need MP and HP absorb and the MIME command. Make sure you do NOT have
the w-item, w-magic, and w-summon materias. Give everyone HP pluses untill it
reaches 9,999 HP. Then do the same with the MP pluses until it reaches 999.
Equip Cloud with the Ultima Weapon and give him the following materia.

Combine the Nights Of The Round with the MP absorb. Give him Phoenix with Final
Attack. Give him mime with HP absorb. Make sure that you only eqip these matiera
on the Ultima Weapon if their mastered. Give him shield and enemy skill. Give
your other party members the other enemy skills. Make sure Cloud has an accesory
that will protect him from Frog and Small.

Before you fight Ruby, get into a battle and have Cloud kill your other party
members. Now go after Ruby. Start off by using shield on Cloud. Do NOT have Cloud
bring the rest back to life.

Now have Cloud use Knights of the Round and just keep miming it until the Ruby
Weapon kills you. When you come back to life, repeat the process until you've
won.

NOTE: No matter what, do not use any limit breaks or regular attacks on Ruby.
If Cloud becomes a toad, use white wind to heal him.

Cast Any Spell Three Times
--------------------------------------------
To cast three magic spells in one round, first equip someone with a Magic
Materia + "All" Support Materia. You'll also need Barrier Materia with the
Reflect spell learned. When you enter battle, cast Reflect on the entire party,
(your party). Then cast the magic spell that was connected to the "All" Materia
on YOUR party.

Even though you cast the spell once, it will be reflected and returned to the
enemy hitting for three times! And for the same price of the usual MP's.
What's even better is that if you have W-Magic, you can cast that spell twice,
or two different spells (both need to be connected to "All" Materia) hitting
for six times!!!

Duplicate Items
------------------------
For this to work you need the W-Item Materia. This Materia is available at the
excavation site. Search the bottom layer at a place that looks a little like
someone scuffed an "x" in the dirt. Equip the Materia, and in battle use it.
Select the Item that you want to duplicate first, then select any other item. After
you select the second item hit cancel, and notice that the first item has increased
by one. Just keep selecting the item, and canceling till you have all you need.
The only downfall to this is that you can only duplicate items that you can use
during battle.

Hint:
-----
Submitted by: Bang

You feel dizzy in battle metter, right? There is a way to make it easy.
First you must have limit: "Finishing Touch" or "Ominilash".Then turn it in
ready.Equip yourself with mime and ribbon. Then fight.First use your limit.
Then mime it until you win.Don't roullete to break your Ribbon. When you
finish your battle. You will still keep your limit. Then fight again to get
more points if you want.(I belive no monster can live before it)he...he.

Gold Saucer: Greater chance of Chocobo fight:
---------------------------------------------
Go to the Gold Saucer battle arena and have a couple of tries. Exchange
your B.P. for Enemy Lure and equip them to the same character who has
Chocobo Lure. Go to any of the tracks and you should have a Chocob most
of the time.

Strong Comet:
-------------
If you have a high magic stat, a few Master Magic or Level 2/Mastered Comet
Materia, Quadra Magic and W-Magic, link Comet2 to Quadra Magic, and have
W-Magic. Link extra Comet2 to HP Absorb, MP Absorb (optional) and Added
Cut. The result will be 40 hits for 9,999 damaged, which Mimed twice can
even kill the Weapons.

Unlimited Knights Of The Round:
-------------------------------
Once you have the Mime materia, master it twice and equip it to everyone.
Then, equip Cloud with Knights Of The Round. Get a W-Summon at the Battle
Square. When you fight Emerald Weapon, Ruby Weapon or Sephiroth (the only
opponent that can survive more than two Knights Of The Round), cast Knights
Of The Round twice and then Mime, Mime, Mime, etc., with no MP cost to Mime.
Doing this trick takes time, but is worth it.

Status display:
---------------
The highest number shown on the status menu is 255. However the game will allow
items on that screen to be built higher, but will display anything greater than
that number.

Best way to Steal:
------------------
* This trick requires only two Materias, Steal and Comet (leveled up to Comet 2).
Attach Steal and Comet together. During a battle, if you want to steal something
that is important to you, use the Comet 2 spell. Each Comet will be the same as
one Steal. If there are a good amount of comets, you should be able to steal what
you need before the enemy dies. Use this wisely.

* Give a character Sneak Glove. Also give that Character steal as well Materia
combined with Comet Materia (level 2 or higher) and a Mime Materia. Give the
other two characters a Mime Materia. Begin a battle. Use Comet 2 to hit the
enemies multiple times, attempting to Steal each time. The Sneak Glove will allow
the character to steal easier. If this does not work, the other characters can
Mime it repeatedly until it does. You may also want to throw in a Steal/Quadra
Magic. The downside is that most enemies cannot withstand a lot of Comet 2 attacks.

Aeris: Limit Break:
-------------------
Use the following trick to get Aeris' level 4 Limit Break before the Temple Of
The Ancients. Once you have the Buggy, drive into the Costa Del Sol and get on
the ferry at the docks. When you get to Junon, leave and you should be in the
Buggy. drive northeast until you find a river. Follow it and you should find a
point to cross at. Go further and you should find a cave. Talk to the man in
there. He should give you Mythril if you have had a number of battles where
the last two digits are the same (for example, 133 or 44 battles). Once you
have the Mythril, continue the story until you search for the Key Of The Ancients.
There should be a house northeast of Gongaga. The man in there will trade your
mythril for an item. Choose a small box (safe on the upper floor) and you will
have Aeris' level 4 Limit Break, The Venus Gospel, before you even get to the
Temple Of The Ancients.

Easy experience:
----------------
On Disc 3, go to the crater where Sephiroth is hiding. When you get to the part
with the left and right path, follow the left path. On the first screen upon
entering the left path will be three ways to proceed. Follow the path to the
right. You should now be in a room with many of root-type objects and water.
Its recommended that you use the Save Crystal here. Fight here until you
encounter three little red balls called Movers. They only appear in sets of
three. When you kill them, you get no EXP but 2400 AP. With Triple Growth,
this is worth 7200 AP per fight. They also give about 170,000 Gil. In the
same area, you can also find Magic Pots. They will ask for Elixirs.
Give them one. Each Magic Pot will give you about 8,000 EXP. 1,000 AP,
and some Gil.

Easy AP and Gil:
----------------
* Go to the Northern Cave. Keep going down and when you reach the intersection
where there are two ways to go, take the route to the left then go down into
the path along the right side of the wall. You should be in what appears to
be a swamp. Run around until you encounter a Master Tornberry. Cast Stop on
it, then steal an Elixir from it . Walk around in the same room until you
fight a Magic Pot. Give it an Elixir and kill it to receive 8000 experience,
1000 AP, and a lot of Gil. Keep repeating this as desired. There is also
another enemy in the same room that gives you a lot of AP. They are small
red balls (usually in groups of four ) that are weak. When killed, they
give 2450 AP and lots of Gil. This trick best works with Exp Plus, Gil Plus,
Mime, high level (above 65 ), and lots of HP and MP.

* Use the following trick to get up to 2,400 AP from a trio of simple-to-beat
enemies called Movers. Inside the Northern Cave is a split in the path. Take
the left path then take the top fork on the next screen. You should find some
natural-looking terrain and the music should change. Walk around this screen
and/or the next screen until you face a rare enemy called a Mover. They look
like bouncing red balls and always appear in threes. Their HP is about 2,000
to 2,500 and always hit for "critical" strikes. Their attacks are weak, however,
so you should not have a problem defeating them. One Mover gives no experience,
but grants 30,000 Gil and 800 AP each. Combined, you should get 0 experience,
90,000 Gil, and 2,400 AP for your Materia. If you have a weapon or armor that
doubles or triples AP gain, you can get 4,800 to 7200 AP per Materia.
Note: Movers are extremely rare. To increase your chances of seeing them,
equip one or two Enemy Lure Materia in one of your party member's slots.
You can get Enemy Lure Materia at the Battle Arena for 250 BP each.

Easy Gil:
---------
* Sell a Master level All Materia to get 1.4 million Gil. Since another All
Materia will appear when the original reaches master level, there will
  be no loss in usefulness.
* When at the Gold Saucer Prison, go out in the desert and fight a enemy called
Cactuar. Defeat him to get 10,000 Gil. This creature can also be found at
Cactuar Island on the south-east area of the map, or south of Cosmo Canyon.
* Use the "Unlimited items" trick to duplicate Ethers or Turbo Ethers.
Do this until you have 99 Ethers or Turbo Ethers and take them to a shop.
Sell 98 of them and collect the money. Use the remaining item to repeat the
  process.
* Buy two or three Chocho Sylkis Greens from the Chochobo Sage (northeast
beyond the Bone Village). Go to Midgar and get into a fight with the harmless
enemies there. Use the "Unlimited items" trick on the Sylkis Greens and make
them reach 99. After that, go to any town and enter one of the stores. Sell
each Sylkis Green for 2500. Selling 99 Sylkis Greens will result in 247500
Gil. Do not sell more than 97, so you can repeat the trick.

Gold Saucer: Higher battle points:
----------------------------------
When you win a battle and the slots appear, try to get a bad one. You get more battle points
when you select bad items. Before you do this, give the character that is fighting a Ribbon
to avoid any status changes such as Poison or Frog.

Walk Forever:
-------------
When leaving or entering an area (not on the world map) press [Menu] just after the screen goes
dark. unpause and you'll still be in the same area as before, but you can continue walking
outside the normal bounds of the screenwould have brought you to the next screen.

Weapons strategies:
-------------------
Equip your character with a Wizard Bracelet and for a weapon. Link a mastered Knights Of The
Round or Master Summon materia to an HP Absorb. Then, link a mastered Counter (not Counter-
Attack) to a Mime materia. Equip a mastered HP and MP Absorb, and equip a mastered Final
Attack to a level 2 or higher Revive materia. Equip this on as many characters as you have
the materia available. For Ruby Weapon, you only need to equip it on one character and kill
the other two. The affect of this is if you cast Knights Of The Round at the beginning of a
battle, you can mime it every turn to absorb over 9999 HP. The game will display a lower
number, but you are really absorbing 9999 plus that number. When you get hit, you will
counter attack with Knights Of The Round, absorbing any HP that you lost. Using this, you
cannot lose unless you get killed in one hit, or if the enemy is too fast for you to counter-
attack. If this happens the Final Attack + Revive will keep you in the battle.

Skip Return to Midgar glitch:
-----------------------------
This glitch allows you to skip Returning to Midgar, however you will permanently miss
Barret's and Caith Sith's ultimate weapon's and a Tough Ring, Ziedrich and Minerva Band
by doing so. After defeating Diamond Weapon when he approaches Midgar, head towards
Northern Crater in the Highwind to continue the story. When you reach the scene between
Scarlet, Reeve and Heidegger in the meeting room, after Reeve says "I don't give a damn
about the details!!", hold Right + Run. If successful, in the next scene your characters
will appear next to Hojo to stop him, instead of seeing him talking to himself.

Unlimited Elixirs:
------------------
In the Ice Field, find the cave with the Elixir in it. Collect it but do not push [Cancel]
to get rid of the text that indicates that you have the Elixir. Normally you cannot do
anything while that message is displayed, however this location does not follow that rule.
Walk out the cave, re-enter, and get the Elixir repeatedly. If you allow the text to disappear,
the item will be removed and cannot be recollected.

Teleport with Yuffie:
---------------------
Have at least one saved game file in which you do not have Yuffie recruited. Load that
saved game and save near a forest on the overworld map. Go to a non-overworld area, such
as Midgar, the cave near the Chocobo Farm, etc. and intentionally lose a battle to end the
game. Note: You can also fight Diamond Weapon in the overworld to lose. Load the previously
saved game at the overworld. Enter the forest without going into any location that takes you
out of the overworld map. When you find the "Mystery Ninja" (Yuffie) and win the battle, you
will find yourself where your last "Game Over" happened, and not in the empty field you would
normally find Yuffie. If the battle you achieved the Game Over a Boss battle, you will have
to refight it. However, if it was a random encounter, you will be in the exact location where
the battle was triggered. You can use this glitch to keep Aeris in your party past the end
of the City of the Ancients sequence. You can also replay any area you like as many times as
desired, which is useful in areas normally only seen once. By fighting the Diamond Weapon
repeatedly, you can farm experience points and AP.

Enter Debug Room:
-----------------
For this glitch, you need two files. For File 1, you need to have the Highwind and still
not have Yuffie on your file. For File 2, you need to have saved just prior to the Motor
Ball boss battle. Load File 1 and land near the Chocobo Ranch, preferably in a spot you
can remember as it will be invisible during the glitch. Go through Mythril Cave as normal
and save just outside the forest near Junon. Load File 2 and begin the boss battle. Have
a Game Over in that battle. Load File 1 again and fight in the forest until you find Yuffie.
Defeat her and, instead of the scene loading that usually does, you will be warped instead
into the Motor Ball battle. Defeat it. (Note that this does not necessarily allow your
File 1 characters to enter File 2; rather, it just alters a value in the game's data that
says "when" you are in terms of plot, so there's no item duplication or the like.)

Go to the Rocket Town side of Mt. Nibel via the Highwind. Land and make sure that Tifa,
Cait Sith, Cid, and Vincent are not in your active party. Go into Mt. Nibel. It will
take a moment for the game to let you control the character; wait for about 30 seconds
until text appears on-screen from a flashback. Scroll through it, leave Mt. Nibel, and
save in the overworld. Reload this file and kill two party members in one battle. After,
use the PHS to swap them out for other characters, then kill the only other one from
the original group and end the next battle. Swap all three KO'ed members into the party.
Enter Mt. Nibel and then get into a battle, in turn getting a Game Over.

Next, load the file on which you want to enter a Debug Room. Go to the Rocket Town side
of Mt. Nibel, enter a battle in the overworld, and win. After, leave Mt. Nibel and go
to Junon via the Highwind. In the overworld, enter battles in the grass at random and
keep escaping battles until you find one with 2 Nerosuferoth and 1 Formula (25% chance
to find). Escape this battle, too, then start flying and land in the Highwind immediately
thereafter, and win the next random battle you find. You will then be warped into the
Debug Room. Further details on how to operate the Debug Menu are contained in an FAQ
in the FAQs section.

View the cutscenes:
-------------------
Go to the (~:Program FilesFinal Fantasy VIImovies) folder and you will be able to
view all of the in-game FMVs whenever you want.
