Normally to give the mouse directions, you will address it in this way: "MOUSE, GO EAST" "MOUSE, GO WEST" However, once it enters the hole in the wall, it is unable to hear you any more. In this case, the game expects you to "speak" to the hole instead of to the mouse directly: "HOLE, GO NORTH" "HOLE, GO SOUTH" Give the directions to the mouse by speaking to the hole, and the mouse will be able to hear you.
