Command And Conquer – Tiberian Sun – Firestorm

Command And Conquer - Tiberian Sun - Firestorm

Drop Pods:
----------
When fighting the GDI you may hear machine guns firing. This is normal because those
sounds were just Drop Pods. The Drop Pods have people in them that have gold stars
(which indicates that they are very good).

Cyborg Reaper:
--------------
Build a Cyborg Reaper and send it to the enemy's base. Walk on Tiberium and stay there.
The enemy will shoot at it, but the Tiberium will heal it quickly.

Unlimited Firestorm:
--------------------
Precise timing is required for this trick. Build a Firestorm generator. When it is
ready, click to activate it, and blow it up as soon as it becomes activated. This
works best if you have a Ghost Stalker. Have the Ghost Stalker place C4 on the
generator, then when it flashes, quickly turn it on and it will automatically explode.
The game will be fooled into thinking that you still have the generator. You can
turn it off by building another generator and re-clicking on the Firestorm button.

Firestorm defense:
------------------
Play as the GDI. If your enemy likes air units or missiles, surround your base with
the Firestorm Wall at a distance from your base, backed up with RPG Launchers.
Whenever aircraft or missiles are detected coming toward you, turn the Firestorm
on. When aircraft attack, wait until just before they cross the Firestorm line so
that they cannot turn away before they are hit. Do not worry if the Firestorm is
attacked by the enemy aircraft -- it is pretty tough. Just bring some MRLS in to
assist destroying the aircraft.

Laser Fence Snap:
-----------------
This is actually the NOD version of the Firestorm Defense. When an enemy approaches
the fence, turn off a section of fencing for him to pass over. As soon as the
opponent's unit is on the fence, re-activate it and you will have a one-hit kill.
This works the best when your fence is stealthed and you are playing against a
human opponent through a modem or network.

Completing the last mission:
----------------------------
Do what you would normally do, except wait until the Defender is far away. Shoot
a missile or Ion Cannon directly at it, while sending Banshees or Orca Bombers
to attack it.

Visceroid baby to adult:
------------------------
The only way a baby Visceroid can turn into an adult is when two babies merge
together.

Easy money:
-----------
Build an EMP cannon and order some Rocket Infantry to attack the ground on it.
Sell it while it is being repaired and shot, and you will get your money, an
infantry, and your power -- plus you keep the cannon and it repairs for free.
You can repeat this as many times as needed because the cannon will rebuild
itself to be sold after its next use.

Edit Screen Resolution:
-----------------------
Edit sun.ini in the game directory and you can push the screen resolution way up
from the pathetic 640x480 standard

Look for...

ScreenWidth=640
ScreenHeight=480
StretchMovies=no

And just change the values to something more suiting to your PC + Monitor
(as Tib Sun looks stupid at 640x480 on bigger monitors)

On my machine I run the game at 1280x1024 with no problems, stops so much scrolling
around and you can see all the build options too!

Beating the Stealth Generator:
------------------------------
This works for GDI only. You must have access to an Orca Carryall and a Mobile
Sensor Array. Take the Carryall, force it to load on the MSA and fly it into
suspected Nod Base Territory which is cloaked. The MSA will uncover all the
buildings on the minimap, and if it is attacked, the surrounding buildings near
the attacker will also be revealed! This part works for Nod. Take the MSA and drive
it straight into the enemy base which is cloaked. It has the same effect.
