You don't have to win every race. The career season is based on points, so you can finish dead last in one race, as long as you make up the points down the road. Make pits stops only when absolutely necessary. On "Thunderdome", pit earlier than the rest of the pack (after the 4th or 5th lap). This should give you an edge.
